A romantic water lily pond with blue water lilies is integrated into the dreamlike natural backdrop. Modern and classic sculptures by various artists can be found throughout the grounds. The neighbouring picturesque viewing terrace is the ideal place for a sundowner.

High-quality materials also characterise the interior design of the house, where whitewashed walls contrast with the warm wooden frames of the doors and windows. The stylish interior design is complemented by bright primary colours that provide a fitting backdrop for the design classics and Bauhaus furniture. The antique terracotta floors from France harmonise with Le Corbusier and modern accents. Wall tiles from Morocco, hand-picked North African art and carefully selected furnishing elements complement the ambience with great attention to detail. The silver-plated washbasins in the bathrooms were handmade in Marrakech.
The villa has 3 double bedrooms on two floors, 3 bathrooms and a large living and dining area in the basement with adjoining covered outdoor terrace. Indoor and outdoor areas seem to merge into the unique surrounding vegetation and the endless blue of the ocean. Villa Botánica is located in Puntagorda, a picturesque village in the north-west of La Palma, a heart-shaped island with secluded beaches, volcanoes and dense forests. Located between the ravines of Garome and Izcagua, Puntagorda is surrounded by pine and almond trees and is famous for its almond blossom in January and February. Visit the Almendro en Flor festival in February with music, dancing and free almond and palm wine or the patron saint festival in honour of San Mauro Abad in August.
The Barranco de Izcagua and the forest of El Fayal are highly recommended excursion destinations nearby. A popular market, the Mercadillo, is held in the village at weekends, selling local produce, wine, cheese and handicrafts. Hiking trails lead directly from the villa into the unspoilt nature of the greenest island in the Canary Islands. The unique biodiversity of the vegetation and fauna of "Europe's
Galapagos" are a unique natural spectacle.
La Palma is famous for its clear night skies with minimal light pollution, so you can experience a sky full of stars. The observatory on the Roque de Los Muchacho is one of the largest in the world and can be visited by prior reservation.
