The Pomeroy Place is an ideal location for day trips to explore Maine. Corinth is a lovely, small, authentic rural Maine town, centrally located just 30 minutes from Bangor, Newport, and Dover-Foxcroft. Just a little farther to Baxter State Park, Katahdin Woods & Waters National Monument, and Acadia National Park.
Whether you’re seeking a peaceful retreat, an outdoor adventure, or a central location to explore Maine, this little gem provides the perfect backdrop for making lasting memories.
Guests are permitted in the rental home, and to use the backyard, gazebo, and marked trail system. Please do not walk, bike, or hike on the dirt road that exits McCard Rd on the sharp corner, that is private property and is actively being logged.
We live right next door so we're around in case you need anything, but we will follow your lead as far as socializing.
The Pomeroy Place is on a paved rural road with two homes across the street (visible) and one next door (not visible). There is a very-part-time auto repair shop in an outbuilding at the back of the lot.
You'll need a car.
Please use caution driving in this area, especially at night, due to a large Amish community. These roads do not have shoulders, and their buggies do not necessarily have much in the way of reflective strips or lighting, for night visibility.
