The Hide is cut into the hillside overlooking Blue Flag Newgale beach & the wetlands below, teaming with wildlife & our local herd of cows.
The interior-designed studio boasts an open-plan living space with 7m sliding doors offering an indoor/outdoor feel & spectacular coastal views.
The Hide by Salt & City Stays is a 3-min walk to Newgale Beach & the coast path in the heart of Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Unwind after a day's adventure in your private Sauna while taking in the view.
The one-of-a-kind studio has been newly built with high-end appliances & fixtures, and furnishings. The kitchen is fully equipped for lazy morning brunches (complete with a dishwasher for the washing up), a cooker tap for instant hot water for tea & coffee, an outdoor shower for post surf, a private Suana for warming up after that sea dip, and Hoftas fire pit/grill for alfresco dinners under the stars. The sliding doors also allow you to stay cosy as you watch the weather roll in across the sea - which is quite something!
The Hide by Salt and City Stays provides a natural escape in rural West Wales. We look forward to welcoming you.
Please note that The Hide is accessed through the garden of our family home. The Hide is fully enclosed and secluded - you feel like you have the whole coastline to yourself!
We’re available should you need anything throughout your stay. However, we’ll leave you to enjoy your stay unless you need us.
Tom and the team at Salt and City Stays are also on hand around the clock should you need anything ahead of your stay or after you arrive. Please just ask.
Newgale is one of the most spectacular beaches on the Pembrokeshire coast. It's almost 2 miles of golden sand backed by a huge pebble bank formed after a BIG storm in 1859.
Kitesurfing and surfing are popular on this beach, and tuition is available.
Walk right down to the southern end to find a walk-through cave and numerous sheltered bays.
Cross the river, at the back of the pebble bank opposite the cafe at the north end to gain access to several low tide bays.
At very low tide, it’s possible to walk around to Cwm Mawr beach, but keep an eye on the tide times as you don't want to get cut off.
A short drive in either direction offers access to everything Pembrokeshire has to offer. Solva, St Davids and Fishguard are within a few minutes drive. Explore the south of the county with access to Tenby and Marloes within an hour.
While there are a few public transport options running along the coast, it's definitely recommended that you have a car for the duration of your stay. The Hide has off road parking for up to 1 large vehicle and an EV charger is available for you to use.
To truly unwind, we like to disconnect. As such we don’t have TV in The Hide.
