Welcome to Lakeview Escape, located in a small neighborhood in the Heights Marina area. This 2-bedroom, 1-bath cottage-sleeps 4 comfortably, but can accommodate 6 guests. Located a few houses from the water with road end access to the lake, makes an ideal home for nature lovers and water sports enthusiasts alike. Lakeview escape offers a cozy, stylish, coastal, and clean stay. Newly remodeled bedrooms with a queen bed in master, full size bunks in second bedroom, comfortable beds, A/C, coffee bar, spotless clean flooring throughout cabin, and lots of amenities.

Outdoor Area:

Relax on the front patio with lake views or head to the backyard to enjoy the gazebo, firepit, grill, and outdoor seating—perfect for making memories day or night.

Livingroom:

The family room, relax on our comfortable reclining couch while you take in your favorite movie on the Roku TV or challenge each other with a broad game. Enjoy the ambience of the electric fireplace, which also provides extra warmth during the colder months of the year. Enjoy hanging out in the family room for your ability to create some great memories.

Bedrooms:

The primary bedroom offers a comfortable queen-size bed for restful nights. It includes thoughtful touches like bedside charging lamps, tables and a Roku TV for unwinding. You'll find ample storage space in the closet for your belongings with full length mirror.

The second bedroom features a full over full bunk bed and also has storage space, bedside charging plug, reading lamps, and a Roku TV. All bedrooms are equipped with blackout curtains and blinds to ensure a good night's sleep.

Workspace:

A dedicated workspace is available in the second bedroom, offering a convenient spot for those who need to work or study during their stay. With fast Wi-Fi at 363 Mbps, you can comfortably take video calls and stream.

Kitchen:

The kitchen is fully stocked with a gas stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, blender, crockpot, and all the essentials you need—plus cooking oils, basic spices, and storage supplies. Start your morning with a cup of coffee from the drip maker or Keurig, then enjoy it on the front patio with a peaceful lake view. Starter supplies of ground coffee, k-cup, tea, creamer and sweeteners provided. Dine indoor at the pub table (seats 4, plus 2 foldable stools for a tight squeeze) and enjoy your meal. Most days you can do what many of our guests prefer, dine outside on the back patio with gazebo and cook on the propane grill. You can pick up groceries at one of the nearby stores – Walmart curbside pickup is guest favorite.

Bathrooms & Laundry:

Refresh and rejuvenate in the common bathroom which offers a tub/shower combo and all bathroom essentials (hair dryer, towels, makeup towels, plenty of toilet paper, toiletries, and more).

For longer stays, you'll appreciate the in-unit laundry area, equipped with a washer and dryer, and laundry soap. An iron, ironing board, and steamer are also available for your use.

It's an ideal spot for anyone looking for a quiet escape with easy access to outdoor activities while still being near everyday conveniences. Spring/Summer/Fall: swim, fish, kayak, golf, bonfire, boating, or ORV!

Winter: Tip up Town (last 2 weekends in Jan), ice fish, snowmobile or ORV, Cross-Country ski headquarters, and so much more!

Guest access
Guests will have private access to the entire home, with the exception of one cleaners' closet located in the bathroom and the shed. Entry is made easy with self check-in via a smartlock. There is a small driveway, providing parking for 3 vehicles or 2 vehicles and a trailers, 75 ft long.

→ Step-Free Access: There are no steps to enter this single-level cabin, making it easy to access.

→ Lot & Parking: The cabin sits on a cozy lot with parking for up to 3 vehicles, or 2 vehicles and a trailer (up to 75 ft.). The backyard is open and adjoins neighboring properties, offering a great space to relax, gather around the fire pit, and enjoy a bonfire.

→ Privacy & Neighbors: This home is located in a residential neighborhood with homes on all sides. Neighbors are approximately 20 feet away, so please be respectful by keeping noise to a minimum. No loud music or parties are permitted. This property is not considered secluded.

→ Wildlife & Bugs: Because the cottage is located near the water, you may encounter bugs and local wildlife. To help keep them outside, please keep doors closed when possible and turn off the outdoor porch lights when they are not in use.

→ Heating & Cooling: A mini-split system in the living room provides heating and air conditioning from April through October. Central heating is available during the winter months.

→ Location: Lakeview Escape is nestled in the Heights Marina neighborhood on the southwest side of Houghton Lake, surrounded by other cottages and homes. The cabin is just a short drive from restaurants, shopping, and other local amenities.

→ Security Cameras: For your safety and the security of the property, there are three exterior security cameras. Two cameras are located on the back of the house facing the road, monitoring the driveway/ entrance, and side of house. A third camera is located on the front of the house, monitoring the front yard and lake view. These cameras are on, actively recording video and audio when motion is detected. There are no cameras inside the home.
