Overview

IdyllAway is a 1946 vintage cabin on a quiet cul-de-sac. The rare covered front porch is ideal for relaxing and taking in the serene surroundings. The tree shaded deck is a few steps down from the cabin. Just a few blocks from the wonderful Ernie Maxwell trail, and less than a mile to town.

We are on a short gravel road, just off a paved road. There is no through traffic, which means it is very safe for kids to play in front of the house and the surrounding area.
Large open living room and dining area with a beautiful heavy oak table for family dining. Unique vintage stove and original hardware adorn the kitchen. There is a forest themed cubby off the Living room with a double bed that is perfect for a couple kids. High quality linens and Leesa beds in the bedrooms.

Fast 200Mbs WiFi.

There is a large screen TV with sound bar, Netflix, Amazon Prime, and News channels. Coffee and tea is provided (we have K-cups, coffee grinder, and a French Press).

Free EV charging! No charging cable though… please bring your own with NEMA 14-30 plug (220V 32A dryer type plug)

$50 pet fee per week or portion thereof.

Getting around

There are two parking spots directly in front of the house. Please call Caltrans for road conditions before you leave 800 GAS-ROAD. Enter 243 for the highway number for Idyllwild. Also enter 74 if coming from OC or SD. Even if chains are not required it is a good idea to call because sometimes they will close the road temporarily for rock slides.

House Rules

Quiet hours outside 9 PM to 8AM. Please be respectful at all other times (voices carry quite well in our little Idyllwild canyons). Pet owners are not allowed to instant book. One dog maximum, short hair or hypo-allergenic preferred. Please put woolen Pendleton blankets in the closet when you arrive if you bring your pet. No pets are allowed on the furniture and are not to be left alone in the cabin when you are gone (most restaurants allow pets on their patio). We do not have a mud room, so you must bring an old towel and clean your pets' paws before entering the cabin. $50 pet fee per week or portion thereof. Notes

Like many cabins on septic in Idyllwild, there is no garbage disposal. There is one window AC unit in the Living Room (summer only).
