The cycle paths are well signposted to help you. Located to the south of the Jade Bay, the municipality has a 12 kilometre long dyke line directly bordering the Jade Bay. The mudflats directly in front of the dyke are part of the Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park. The Sehestedter Außendeichsmoor on the Jade Bay near the Jader district of Sehestedt is unique. The ten-hectare area, also known as the "floating moor", has been part of the Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park since 1986. A "salt marsh adventure trail" and the national park adventure centre are also part of the Sehestedt lido. Dykes and dykes characterise the face of the marshland. The season-independent seawater spring pool in Dangast is popular. For swimming, there is the "ffn-Friesenstrand" in Tossens and the North Sea lagoon in Burhave. This is not dependent on low and high tide like other beaches. The Jaderberg nature reserve is also located in the municipality. The 18.5-hectare nature reserve serves to protect a grey heron colony that has settled in the treetops of a grove for at least 50 years.
The former farmhouse is located directly behind the dyke and is only separated from it by the road. It was converted into holiday flats in 1989. Our cosy flat is on the ground floor. It is 50m² in size and suitable for up to 4 people. The 2000 m² property with play facilities for children and a run for dogs, as well as a lawn with garden furniture are also available for use. Car and motorbike parking spaces are available at the house.
