Dome Sweet Dome, Blue Mountains, NSW - Bullaburra

Enjoy the unique and memorable experience of staying in a spacious, light filled geodesic dome. Watch the stars at night from the lounge or bedroom! Unique architecture, peaceful location. 2 bedrooms, one bathroom can sleep up to 6 guests comfortably. Set on 1/2 an acre with gardens there is onsite parking available. 15 min walk to the local train station. 5 minutes drive to Wentworth Falls, 10-15 mins to the Three Sisters and the sites of Leura and Katoomba.

Staying in a dome is unlike any other building, it's geometry, spaciousness and ambience promotes a feeling of awe, peace and tranquility - a great place to relax and unwind! Our dome has been handcrafted with lots of love. Our vision was to build a sustainable, environmentally friendly building and we were fascinated by the sacred geometry of domes. We have used mainly recycled and natural materials and we make an effort to only use eco-friendly cleaning products and toiletries to minimise any chemical pollutants.

It is self contained and includes a microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and has kitchen utensils oil and seasonings.

All linen and towels are supplied as well as toiletries.

The dome is fully self-contained with a private entrance, kitchen, bathroom and back verandah. Bedroom 1 is on the ground floor with a queen sized bed and attached bathroom. Upstairs is a large mezzanine level with a double bed and 2 single beds. The bathroom is on the ground floor and is attached to bedroom 1.

Our main residence ( a larger dome) is connected to the smaller dome by an enclosed walkway, there are 2 external doors between the domes, so noise is minimal. Guests have their own exclusive space and privacy as well as a private entrance. Guests also have access to outside areas including a covered back verandah with seating and table tennis table.

Wifi is available as well as Telstra TV which gives you options for watching movies, free Netflix and other programs.

We are usually here to welcome you, however there is also a keybox available for self check in, and a unique code will be sent to you. You are welcome to walk around our property and enjoy the gardens, space and bird life. We respect your privacy but are also available nearby on property if any assistance or information is needed. Lots of written information about the local area, attractions and things to do are available in the information folder and books provided in the dome for guests to peruse. We are happy to give suggestions on different activities and bushwalks and have available extensive written information on the many bushwalks in the Blue Mountains National Park.

We are located in the beautiful Blue Mountains World Heritage area. Situated in a residential area at the end of a very quiet street in the Mid-Mountains close to public transport, the villages of Lawson and Wentworth Falls are only minutes away. The Mid-Mountains has loads to offer - there are many galleries and antique shops to slowly explore in the nearby villages and less than 5 minutes down the road at Lawson are great cafes, Thai and Italian food, Kebab and Pizza and a great Tapas restaurant. Wentworth Falls also has many cafes, shops and food outlets and the beautiful Wentworth Falls Lake and picnic area.

There are many amazing lookouts, waterfalls and bush walks close by including the famous Wentworth Falls waterfall only 10 minutes away.

Other major attractions in the Blue Mountains are also close by including Leura Village (10 mins away) and the Three Sisters and Scenic World at Katoomba (15-20 mins).

If you do not have a car we are about a 15-20 min walk from Bullaburra train station on the Blue Mountains line from Sydney (2 hrs). If prior notice is given and subject to availability we can pick you up from Bullaburra Station. Katoomba is a 15 min train trip away. There are various options to explore the sites of Katoomba and Leura including a hop on hop off Explorer bus or a trolley bus.

Climbing stairs is required for the mezzanine area with the double and 2 single beds.

The main bathroom is attached to bedroom 1.
