2 bedroom cabin on a cliff over the French Broad River near Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Hot Springs, Asheville, Great Smokie Mountains National Park
Cabin hosted by John
5 Guests . 2 Bedrooms . 2 Bathrooms

Overview

You have never stayed anywhere like this. Built on a cliff overlooking the French Broad River, you can see miles of mountains for more than 180 degrees from inside the cabin and from 3 decks on different levels. Ride an electric lift down the cliff or walk the stairs to the cabin.

The cabin is on two levels overlooking the French Broad River. Each bedroom has phenomenal expansive views of the mountains as you look down literally over the river more than 100 feet below! Catch your breath as you walk out onto one of the cantilevered decks.

The kitchen and living room on the first floor have equally breathtaking views!

Each floor boasts of a full bathroom with showers and sit-down tubs. Large, exposed timber ceilings and tongue-in-grooved walls and floors gives it the handcrafted feel that one expects from a mountain cabin. Anyone that does woodwork cannot help but be impressed with the massive Timber stairs between the floors.

From every living space including the kitchen, living room, and bedrooms, you are surrounded by the beauty of the Smoky Mountains.  You will want to stay home sip your coffee and drink in the view while you relax to the sound of the French Broad River slipping by far below.

The house is fully equipped with laundry facilities and a fully stocked kitchen.  If you want to tube or swim in the river there is a neighbor who will allow you access to their beach.  Ask for details. Guests may use the electric lift or stairs to get to the cabin, which sits on a cliff. Hiking is not allowed.

You'll be totally private but we are just a phone call away.

Jenni and John Faison are your hosts and can be reached at (919 345 9667) or (919 345 9575) Call or us about where to eat and things to do or any questions you have.

Quiet, peaceful, woodsy, 100 feet above French Broad River on a cliff. Most homes along the road to the cabin have large yards or are on farmland.

You will need to have a car to get around as public transportation is not available. The roads are paved to the driveway and not steep. The driveway is a good gravel drive. You should not have trouble in times of inclement weather.

You are 30 minutes from Hot Springs, NC, 45 minutes from Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Dollywood, Sevierville, Tn and 1 hour from Asheville NC or Knoxville TN. You can see the Great Smoky National Park from the porch as well as the Cherokee National Forest. Tubing, hiking, white water rafting, horseback riding, ziplining are all close by.

John & Jenni Faison are the Executive Directors of Counsel on Immigrant Relations and owners of Hospitable Homes. We are passionate about sharing God's love for immigrants with others. We believe that welcoming immigrants will bring a blessing to the Church, to our communities, and to our nation.

We like to camp in a pop-up, a tent, or a regular camper. We especially like to camp in the winter. The mountains are our favorite place to camp.
We like the out of doors but hate the heat. We should probably live in Alaska.

We try to live life to its fullest with our kids in tow.
