The space
We are on the first floor (second floor in Europe) of a historic palazzo, next to the main piazza and main street of Lucca, but on a quite street thus you will have quick and easy access to the main parts of the city while enjoying the peace and quiet of life like a local.
The flat is comprised of three king sized bedrooms all with their own en-suite bathrooms so you will have full privacy during your stay. The bedrooms and bathrooms feature high quallity linens for you to enjoy. The master bedroom has a steam shower/hammam and a private/covered patio attached.
Spend an evening together in our welcoming living room, whether streaming a movie on the big screen tv or playing one of our many board games.
A trip to the farmers market or why not shop like a local (meat store, cheese store, wine store, produce store..each deserve their own visit) and cook a gourmet meal in our fully equipped kitchen.
Casa Ettore is a perfect place to rest after a long day of exploring or just relax and experience "La Dolce Vita".

Guest access
Our home is located within the Ztl area (Limited Traffic Area, accessible only by permanent residents and people with special permission) and does not offer on-site parking or allow for entering the city with a car this you will not be able to drop off luggage or people directly at the house unless arriving by taxi (they have special permission to enter the city).
If arriving by car, you will find ample parking just outside the wall as well as limited parking inside. If parking inside the wall, you may only park in the blue paid spots (there is a machine to pay or you can download the app as listed on the machines). If parking outside the wall, we recommend using the free parking lot. From the free lot, it is about 10-15 min walk to the house.
If arriving by train, we are a quick and direct 14 min walk though Porta San Pietro.

Other things to note
Casa Ettore is our full time home that we rent out while we are off on our own adventures. You will find that while we make space for you, much of our personal belongings remain (especially in the master room) We open our home to you with trust and hope that you will appreciate all of the comforts that a regular home (not the usual sterile vacation rental) provides.

Please note that we are required by Italian Law to collect passport information and submit it to Italian authorities within 24 hours of check in. You will be asked to share a photo of all passports via airbnb secure messaging system prior to check in. The code for the lockbox will be shared only after passport photos of all guests have been sent.

****Special note about air conditioning usage: Although we do have air conditioning, we ask that you use with thoughtfulness and moderation and try to use fans provided as an alternative. The energy crisis in Italy makes electricity outrageously expensive and the power structure of the house simply can't keep up with excessive use. Therefore, we ask that you do not set the temperature any lower than 22 and use only from the hours of 8pm-6am. .Thank you in advance for your understanding****
