PLEASE NOTE: The bed is freshly made just before check-in. Last-minute bookings may result in a delayed check-in to allow time for bed preparation.
At Cane River Living, we offer a cozy studio guesthouse that sits apart from the main house in our backyard overlooking Cane River Lake. It has shared parking on the driveway and a convenient sidewalk leading to the front door. You can easily access the guesthouse with keyless entry. Inside, you'll find an open-room studio approximately 300 square feet with a king-size bed, a kitchenette equipped with a microwave, mini fridge, coffee pot, and a full bathroom with a shower.
As a guest, you’ll be able to enjoy the entirety of the backyard, including a propane gas grill with grill utensils and a comfortable paver patio area with seats complete with a fire pit that boasts stunning views of the lake. For guests’ convenience, firewood, a starter log, and a lighter are provided. You’ll also have access to the dock with chairs, a ceiling fan, and two kayaks, allowing you to fish to your heart’s content. Just so you know, if you plan to fish, you will need to obtain a valid LA fishing license/permit beforehand. From May-September, we have several inflatable loungers for floating in the lake while enjoying a cold beverage for our most adventurous guests who want a “swim with the gators” experience!
PLEASE NOTE: Check-in time is strictly at 3:00 pm. We cannot accept early check-ins or accommodate individuals who casually show up early to access the room. See house rules for more details.
*** The carport and screen patio connected to our main house are our personal private spaces! We ask guests not to use or enter these spaces.
We are always available to meet our guests to say hello and introduce ourselves. Guests can quickly contact us via Airbnb messages for any assistance needed. We live in the main house and work from home, so we are always on the property. We also like to mention that we sometimes come outside to clean the backyard, patio, or dock area and like to enjoy the lake for ourselves or grill while guests are present.
