Bright, breezy, and located just three flights up (no elevator), this 3BR/2BA penthouse sits on a peaceful, tree-lined street just off 5th Avenue. You'll be steps from Playa’s best restaurants, beach clubs, and shops—yet far enough to enjoy a quiet night’s sleep.
Inside, you’ll find comfortable beds with quality linens, fast Wi-Fi, a smart TV in the living room, and a spacious front balcony perfect for people-watching. The building is older, but the apartment has been thoughtfully updated to provide modern comfort and functionality.

You are close to everything here from nightlife to beach, cozumel ferry and of course shopping and restaurants... just footsteps away!
Please note that we do not provide groceries, drinking water, or other beverages—only basic cooking essentials such as oil, salt, and pepper. We recommend planning a grocery trip to Chedraui shortly after your arrival. It’s just a 2-minute cab ride, and taxis are typically waiting outside for your return.
We do provide hand soap, dish soap, sponges, and towels, as well as shampoo in the showers. Each guest will also have a beach towel and a bath towel.
This is the penthouse unit, located up three flights of stairs—there is no elevator. To access the front door, you’ll walk through a narrow path next to the pool. Please use extra caution, especially if the area is wet.
Los Castillos Villas offer a unique and comfortable vacation experience in a prime location in Playa del Carmen. Built in 1989 and renovated in 2000, they may not have the latest modern amenities, but they can accommodate large groups of up to 50 guests. While this is an older property, our team works hard to keep the villas clean and well-maintained. Due to the humidity, sun, and salty air in Playa del Carmen, older homes like these may require occasional maintenance. If any issues arise during your stay, our on-site team, led by Danny, will address them promptly.
If you are seeking a newer property, we have other listings available. However, if you appreciate the charm and character of an older home, Los Castillos Villas may be the perfect fit for your group.
Please also note: We are connected to Airbnb through API software, which makes us responsible for any damages to the property. As a result, a security deposit is required. You’ll have the option to choose between a **fully refundable \$500 USD deposit** or a **non-refundable \$29 USD damage waiver fee**, processed outside the Airbnb platform. This will appear just below your total at checkout.
