San Diego vacation rentals

We had an absolutely amazing time at this Carlsbad beach house. The location can't be beat...just a short walk down to Tamarack Beach. The house itself was even better than we imagined! Three large bedrooms and three bathrooms gave our family plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen we have ever seen...anything you could possibly need! The backyard was a relaxing oasis with tons of fun extras...hammocks, hot tub, multiple seating areas and such beautiful greenery! The house was equipped with more than enough beach gear including towels, chairs, umbrellas, beach toys, boogey boards, etc. Communication was outstanding. Our host messaged back right away whenever we had a question. Would definitely recommend! We will be back!

My family (2 adults, 4 teens) enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. The house was VERY clean and well-stocked with all the essentials. Lots of space for all of us to hang out together or separately, without ever feeling like we were on top of one another. There are tv’s in the living area and the front bedroom, but none in the primary bedroom or the bunk room (which was a little disappointing given we asked ahead and were told there were TVs in every room). Terramar Beach is right up the road, accessible by staircase, but unfortunately was covered with seaweed the entire week- so we opted to drive to a couple of nearby beaches just north and it worked out well. Overall, a great house with fantastic indoor/outdoor space to relax.

Mona and Randy's home is such a beautiful, roomy, yet cozy place. The neighborhood is delightful charming and quiet. As you drive up this 2.6 Mile boulevard then down the hill to the last house of the longest cultisack I've ever been on, you have arrived! WOW what a view overlooking the canyon from the cute front yard, inside and the wrap around deck! We sat in the living room and out side on the deck every night watching the sun set. I had my morning coffee and read my book in the cute little over look with the over sized chairs. This was such a great stay for our family – the upstairs living room, dining area, office , kitchen and half bath all supplied with eveything we needed including a very strong wifi signal. The downstairs bedrooms had the most comfortable beds with very well insulated walls so no disruptions to anyone sleeping. I can't say enough great things about this well kept amazing home and our stay. We would love to come back!! Thank you again Mona and Randy for letting us stay in your fabulous home. The rental worked out well for us. The house felt modern, clean, bed was comfortable, stocked with what we needed. We have family in the area so the location worked well for us. It was an easy walk to a beach and a short drive to restaurants. We were a bit bummed that the fire pit could not be used but the master shower was wonderful and will be missed.

This was the perfect spot to stay! It was very walkable, which was perfect for us. It was only a 10 minute walk to downtown Carlsbad and a 5 minute walk to the beach. The inside of the home was very clean and inviting. The beds were very comfy, the kitchen and all the cooking utensils, and the bathrooms were big and very nicely remodeled. We really loved the amount of people Jill’s place could accommodate as we had a few family game and movie nights at the end of each day and everyone fit comfortably in the living room and at the dining table! Not to mention the price was perfect for our budget, and didn’t break the bank like the other Airbnb’s in the area. We will definitely be going back to this spot next time we visit Carlsbad! It was a great family trip!

Family of three had a cozy stay here. Everything was exactly as described. Very clean upon arrival. Home is definitely a smaller, well kept, older home, but it was more than big enough for us as we were out exploring the city during the day. The neighborhood felt safe and within walking distance to lots of places. Backyard was a nice little hangout spot and we lucked out with beautiful weather to enjoy it. We would definitely stay here again. Communication was great, super responsive! Thanks for a nice stay!Side note, this location is near the airport so planes are frequently flying overhead.

Wow! What can I say! This was be most spectacular place my family has ever rented. Thirteen of us came down from the Bay Area to celebrate my mom’s 80th. She is our matriarch and we wanted to make it extra special for her. The appointments in the home are exquisite from the linens, china, color scheme and more. We brought in a photographer to do family photos and the living room setting was ideal. The kitchen is nothing short of a professional cook’s space, as per the comments of our chef. This was an unforgettable weekend indeed. One extra was that the technology in the house made our celebration efforts so simple. We created a video of my mom over the decades and we used the Apple TV connection in the main room on the extra large tv. That together with the surround-sound, sound system made it all come together in a marvelous way. Stew is a wonderful host who came in person to brief us. We hope to come again! Thx

My family of 4 stayed for 5 days the week of Thanksgiving. The 3 bedroom house was the perfect size for all of us to be comfortable and still have some privacy. My son loved the bunk beds and having his own tv. The chess board was out so we taught him how to play. My FIL was sick so I’m glad he had his own room. I appreciate all of the night lights in the house. The location was great, but a little hard to find. It’s a corner lot, across the street from the hospital. Accidentally drive past and you have to go all the way around because it’s a one way street. Great to have restaurants and a store within walking distance. The kitchen is huge and seats lots of people. We used the washer and dryer. Laundry detergent was provided. The hot tub really is a tub of water. I think there was something wrong with the sensor. The top was hot and the bottom was cold so I had to mix the water to trick the water heater into turning on. The owners are very responsive. Overall a great stay!
