Lake House restaurant is the closest restaurant to the cabin, right under a two mile drive. Lake House sits directly on Lake Lure and has an outdoor seating area, a fine dining area upstairs, and a lounge called Bayfront Bar and Grill that is located on the main level. Reviews are mixed regarding prices and quality of certain dishes; however, the view of Lake Lure from the outdoor deck is excellent. Boats can pull right up to the dock. If it's a nice, sunny day, I'd still suggest at least stopping by once when heading out from the cabin. They open at 11:30 a.m., so grab an early lunch or appetizer before it gets crowded, and soak in the lovely view.
