Justus Orchard is 17 miles from our cabin, and a short drive to Grandads Apples N Such and Stepps Hillcrest Orchard. In addition to apple picking, Justus Orchard offers U-Pick blueberries. Their blackberries are available July and August, and apples are available mid August through early November.
The bakery sells many apple goodies such as apple fritters, apple cider donuts, apple cider slushies, and their famous apple fried pies with ice cream.
Labor Day weekend through October, "Good to the Bone BBQ" comes out to the orchard and sells BBQ plates. Every weekend at this apple orchard near Asheville, there will be plenty of activities for the kids such as feeding the farm animals, riding the cow train, and playing on the gigantic Jumping Pillow. They also sometimes have music, face painting, and other family activities.
