The Blue Squirrel Cafe
The Blue Squirrel Cafe on E. Main Street in downtown Saluda, North Carolina is located right across the street from Green River Adventures. Carryout food only. But no worries, as you can still enjoy your meal on their large open air, covered deck!
Located in Saluda, North Carolina, the Blue Squirrel Cafe offers a variety of wraps, sandwiches, and personal pizzas. Plenty of vegetarian options are available as well.
Saluda Whistle Stop Pizza & Wings
After working up an appetite at the Gorge Zipline or Green River Adventures, drive a minute up the road for some meaty wings and pizza! Not ready to eat yet? Order takeout and have a glass of wine, or try the local craft beers on tap. If you want to taste a variety of craft beers, order the beer flights and sample as many you'd like.
Ward's Grill
Ward's Grill is located on Main Street, in downtown Saluda; it is connected to Thompson's Store, which is the oldest grocery store in North Carolina. Breakfast and lunch are served daily from 7-3. May - October, the diner is open on Sundays 11-4. This is a 50's style diner, serving homemade desserts, milkshakes, and standard diner fare. They are famous for their CJ burger, which is a mixture of beef and "Charlie's sage sausage." Definitely stop in, especially if you are visiting the Gorge Zipline, or Green River Adventures in Saluda. This is where the locals eat!

In addition to your typical BBQ fare, they have other options such as burgers, chicken and turkey sandwiches, seafood, and much more. Subway
Subway in Saluda, North Carolina, is just a couple of minutes from the Gorge Zipline and Green River Adventures. I first recommend eating at one of the local mom and pop restaurants, but if that's not possible, then you can always stop here for breakfast or lunch. Mon - Fri they open at 6:30 a.m. Sat - Sun they open at 7:30 a.m. Subway is located right next to the Triangle Stop gas station in Saluda.
Wildflour Bakery & Cafe
The Wildflour Bakery & Cafe in Saluda, is right under 30 minutes from A Touch of Luxury Cabin. This is a great place to have breakfast, before heading out to the Gorge Zipline, or kayaking at Green River Adventures in Saluda. Their lunch menu has a variety of salads, sandwiches, and wraps. The Wildflour Bakery has been in business for 37 years. Wednesday and Friday are pizza nights, where they serve pizza from 5-8 p.m. On Sundays, they offer a limited brunch menu, in addition to the regular menu. Stop in to pick up fresh bread loaves, and desserts to take home with you. Be sure to check their website for hours, as they change daily. Locals love this place!
