Parents are to properly supervise their children at all times. The home is not childproofed, and while children are allowed, minimal games are provided for the little ones.

For very young children, we provide some very inexpensive Dollar Tree puzzles, card games, flash cards, etc. These are located in a basket on the living room bookshelf.

You are also able to easily purchase inexpensive toys at the Dollar Store down the road (near the Ingles grocery store).

One Pack N' Play is available. Guests will need to provide their own baby sheets for the Pack N Play.

A white noise machine is available in each bedroom to help drown out noise so little ones can nap.

I truly wish I did not need to include the section below, but due to multiple negative experiences, I found it best to be clear on expectations:

  • Please do not allow children to use the indoor drink coasters as toys/frisbees and play with them outside.
  • Please do not allow children to use the Directv manuals as coloring books. The Dollar General down the road sells inexpensive coloring books.
  • Family adult board games are located in the theater room in the cabinet below the popcorn machine. Family board games are to be cared for and returned to their original location with all game pieces included.
  • All horseshoes and croquet sticks/balls should be placed back in their original outdoor location and accounted for. Missing items will be invoiced to the guest.
  • Neither children, nor adults should climb the face of the rock waterfall. This is very dangerous as the rocks are slippery. No one should walk anywhere near the top of the waterfall.
  • The bottom of the waterfall pond has a pond liner that can easily be torn. Please do not allow children to throw rocks and other objects into the pond. Children and dogs should never be in the pond as this can also tear the pond liner.
  • The property is on a well. Please do not allow children or any other member of the party to use the water hose to add water to the pond. This can be disasterous and run the well dry.
  • Please do not allow children to move/play with the rocks placed on or near the waterfall. The rocks were intentionally placed in specific locations to divert the water flow.

Thank you for understanding why I ultimately needed to include the section above. I truly wished it was not necessary.

We have the same problem with parents not caring to supervise their small children. And we have a whole room devoted to toys, but they go for the decor! Seems to be prevalent with younger parents. Too busy on their cell phones.
