Updated October 13, 2022 The immigration process has changed considerably. Starting August 19, 2022, tourists no longer need to complete the FMM. The immigration officer will stamp your passport and that's all!

I've been travelling around Mexico for 25 years. I've spent most of my time in the Yucatan peninsula along the Caribbean and I've learned a few things here and there.
