If you're familiar with Brazilian steakhouses, you know that they have a large "salad bar".   We found it to be less about salad and more about side dishes in general.  There is something for everyone, even someone with several food allergies, like me.  I especially enjoyed the candied yams.  The main course is a parade of different types of meat.  We found most of them to be quite tasty but we did pass on a few.  I passed on the sweetbread.  If you're not familiar that is cooked pancreas and thymus glands from pork, I think.   I also passed on some spicy sausage, but other sausage was yummy.  

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and will return again.  Here's a review from Everything Playa del Carmen on Ipanema. 

Many people look for a steak restaurant or buffet in Playa Del Carmen. This is one restaurant that offers both things to you. At Ipanema's Grill you can have the salad bar and eat your fill of the meats they bring to your table.

We visited this restaurant in early January of 2020.   It's located on 10th Avenue between 10th and 12th Calles. We were surprised to find only 4 other patrons in the restaurant, but by the time we left there were many more people.  The food was delicious!!

We have been owners of our condo for 24 years.  Playa was just a sleepy little fishing village at that time.  My how things have changed. We have all the modern conveniences that you could possibly desire and still enjoy the natural beauty of Playa del Carmen.  Our condo is a one of a kind, oversized, corner unit within 50 feet of the beach.  You will really enjoy the view from our balcony.  We hope that you enjoy this little piece of paradise as much as we do.
