According to tradition, the “Fountain of the Amazed” has this name, due to the astonishment & admiration that it caused in contemplation, also that those who drink of its water will be connected to Azeitao forever.
VISIT SESIMBRA CASTLE & SANTA MARIA CHURCH
Even those who have never been to the village must have noticed the incredible castle that is visible from the A2. Visiting it is just one of the wonderful things you can do in this land of wine, cheese & belvederes that is 30 minutes from Lisbon.
