Welcome to the Lucky Lookout, our private cabin on 5 remote acres that feels a world away but is a short drive back to civilization! With a king bedroom and full bathroom on the first floor and two semi-private bedrooms in the loft, this is the perfect getaway for couples, families, or friends.
Enjoy beautiful sunset views from the back deck and fire pit, go hiking at Great Cacopan State Park (~10 minutes) or head for a stroll, snack, or shopping in historic Berkeley Springs (~25 minutes).
[ABOUT OUR CABIN]
As you step inside, there's an easy-to-access king bedroom off to your right and a full bathroom with shower on your left.
The entry hall takes you into an open living room, kitchen, and dining room with an expansive wall of floor to ceiling windows looking over the valley below.
Head upstairs into the loft to find two semi-private bedrooms: one with a queen bed, and the other with a twin daybed and cozy reading nook.
Step outside onto the expansive deck with a propane grill and gently rocking dining chairs — perfect to enjoy your dinner while watching the colorful sunset, or to sip your coffee in the early morning peace.
Ready for a campfire? Head back out the front door and across the gravel driveway to find the fire pit surrounded by comfortable adirondack chairs... perfect for cooking s'mores under the string lights or sipping a drink while watching the sun sink below the horizon.
Given our cabin's remote location, please understand that bugs and mosquitoes are part of the experience. We do our best to manage them with professional treatment multiple times a year and other measures, but you may still see signs of bugs around the house. We recommend bug spray with DEET when you're out by the fire.
[GUEST ACCESS]
Guests have access to the entire home and surrounding property, but please be mindful of our neighbors (they came out here for solitude and quiet, too!).
The blue storage shed off the driveway is locked and off-limit to guests.
[OTHER THINGS TO NOTE]
Our home is equipped with 1G fiber internet and a smart TV so you can log into your favorite streaming services during your stay.
Unfortunately the wood stove is inoperable and unavailable to guests at this time.
