The Salty Mermaid - Pool, Hot Tub, & Dog Friendly - St George Island

The Salty Mermaid is a fun and funky, dog friendly, ground level, vintage beach charmer. She has been fully renovated and is ready to host you for your vacation on St. George Island. 

Featuring 3 bedrooms, an extra lounge room/bedroom, and 3 full bathrooms plus a daybed in the Florida room and a sleeper sofa in the living room we can accommodate up to 8 guests.

With a zero step entry at the front door The Salty Mermaid is great for anyone who doesn't want to climb stairs to access the house. 

We now have a golf cart available to rent for our guests for $350.00 a week. If you want to rent it for your week please check the Golf Cart Hold box during checkout and we will send you a separate golf cart rental agreement and payment method.

DOG FRIENDLY!

Dogs of all sizes and breeds are welcome, the backyard is fully fenced in and there is a dog door off the back screened in porch. We allow up to 3 dogs with no dog fee. For more than 3 dogs just message us and we can add a fee for the extra furry friends.

LOCATION:

Located in a quiet area on the West Bayside of the island The Salty Mermaid is .3 miles from the beach, a 7 min walk, and 800ft from the Bay Access at the end of the street where you can launch kayaks and paddle boards (no boat launch here) or just hang out on the beach. The bottom is sandy so its a good place for kids to wade in or to let your dogs go for a swim (on a leash).

LIVING AREA:

The heated and cooled Florida room features a daybed, two seating/lounge areas, a dining area with a passthrough to the kitchen, and a surfboard bar. The custom built wood sliding doors leading in to the house from the Florida room close to create privacy or a separate sleeping area. 

The open concept living area features a brand new fully stocked kitchen with black granite countertops and an island large enough to seat 8, new black stainless steel appliances and a refrigerator with two ice makers to keep your beverages cold on and off the beach. The kitchen has everything you need to cook up your catch of the day, make a gourmet meal, or whip up a batch of frozen cocktails. 

The dining area has a round vintage table that seats 6 in swiveling pub chairs, perfect for dinner or family game night. The additional dining areas at the kitchen island and in the Florida room allow for seating for your entire group. 

The living room features comfy sofas and chairs, and has a 64" flat screen Roku tv for all of your streaming needs. We also have a selection of board games and jigsaw puzzles for rainy days or evening entertainment. 

Each of the bedrooms and the lounge/bedroom also have a smart TV. 

BEDROOMS:

Suite Palm (Owners Suite): King Bed, Ensuite Bathroom with walk-in shower.

The Pink Flamingo: Queen Bed, Ensuite Bathroom with walk-in shower.

The Atomic Fish Room: Queen Bed. 

Mermaid Queen Bathroom: Tub and shower located immediately outside the Atomic Fish bedroom. 

The Lizard Lounge: An extra room that can be used as a fourth bedroom or as a lounge area. The sofa folds flat to create a double bed or we have two child sized cots available to set it up as a kids room. The Lizard Lounge leads out to the screened in back porch with a seating area, bar railing and a large hot tub.

OUTSIDE:

Two outdoor decks and a screened-in back porch allow plenty of outdoor living space. The side deck has a hot and cold outdoor shower and room to drop off and store beach equipment.
