Welcome to The Baker Farm House, a historic Shenandoah Valley home that has been part of the Baker family for six generations, dating back to 1884. Today, owners Michael and Patti, who live nearby, are excited to share this special home and its rich history with guests.
Originally a working farm that produced corn, wheat, and barley, along with livestock including poultry, Guernsey cows, and hogs, the property has evolved over the years while maintaining its authentic farmhouse charm. Updates over time—including expanded living spaces and the beautiful columned exterior—have brought the home comfortably into the present while preserving its historic character.
In earlier days, the farmhouse served as the heart of the farm, where family, workers, and friends gathered around the table to share hearty homemade meals and stories after long days in the fields. That spirit of hospitality still lives on today.
While the home reflects generations of history, it now offers modern comforts for a relaxing stay. Guests can enjoy fast WiFi, spacious gathering areas, a private hot tub, and a fire pit—perfect for relaxing under the stars after a day exploring the Shenandoah Valley.
Whether you're visiting for hiking, local wineries, scenic drives, or simply a peaceful getaway, The Baker Farm House offers a unique blend of historic charm, modern comfort, and beautiful countryside surroundings. We hope you create wonderful memories of your own during your stay.
