Chalet Hibou is a spacious apartment sleeping 8 people, offering a high standard of comfort, and in a great position just 5 minutes from walk the SuperMorzine lift and the Bourg area of Morzine. In addition, the views from the lounge picture windows and balcony are amazing - you can see the whole panorama of the Pleney and Nyon mountains! The apartment is on two levels; the main and lower floor of a small apartment building, and there is a parking place right by the front door, so is also ideal for people with limited mobility.
On the main floor is the big kitchen, with all the equipment you could need for self-catering; a spacious warm lounge with fireplace and comfortable sofas; large dining table; three bedrooms (two twins, and one king) and two shower rooms each with WC. Downstairs from the entrance hall is a further large double bedroom (remodelled and with new super-king bed Dec 2022) with ensuite bathroom with bath, WC and separate shower, and the ski storage area and boot dryers. There is a large new deck area on the lower floor ideal for al fresco dining and BBQ in the summer.
The chalet has central heating and ample hot water.

This chalet is not really suitable if you are mountain bikers bringing your own bikes (The only place to store bikes is on the lower deck or main balcony and should be locked too, and bikes are not allowed to be stored in the boiler room).

Hi! I'm British born but have now been living more of my life in France than in the UK, and this is now my home. I've been running Mountain Highs Self-Catered Chalets and Apartments in Morzine since 1995 and I live in a little village just 5 mins down the valley from Morzine, with my 2 daughters, our border collie Sydney and our cats Tina and Asha.
I enjoy downhill and cross-country skiing in the winter, and trekking, road biking and lake swimming in the summer, and reading and music whenever I get the time ;) I also love to travel and get to know new places...wish there was just more time to get to all the places I haven't been to yet!
Morzine and the Portes du Soleil are a wonderful place to choose for a holiday and I feel I am very lucky to live here all year round. I am very keen for everyone who stays in our properties to have a great holiday and I personally spend a lot of time communicating with each and every Mountain Highs client. Don't hesitate to ask me if you'd like information that you don't see in my listings. I speak French, English and Italian, and can just about communicate in Spanish too, have patience!

Please note: Due to the excellent location of Chalet Hibou, there's no need to have your own transport and if you like you can book airport transfers with us, see below! If you do bring a second car, and the other 2 parking places for the building are taken, you can park free about 8 minutes' walk away on the Route du Palais des Sports.

Please note that if you will need Geneva airport transfers, we can provide these in our own licensed taxi minibus (a comfortable, new VW Caravelle, long wheel base so there's plenty of luggage space). Prices range from €66 return per person based on 8 people (i.e private return cost €530) to €90 per person return for 2 people, on a shared transfer basis. For more information (or for hotel / train station transfer rates) contact us through the messaging system and make sure you fill in the "transfers" section on our booking form once you book.

A damage Deposit of €300 is taken on your arrival. This is held until your departure as a caution against damage or breakages.
Please note that I do not accept "split payments" (a feature whereby guests can all pay individually to Airbnb for their stay). Your payment must be made by the person making the booking - I will cancel any bookings where "split payments" is selected.

Once your booking is confirmed by Airbnb I require that you complete a booking form, which will be sent to you by email within 24 hours of your booking being confirmed (once you have responded to my confirmation message with your email address).
French short-term rental legislation requires that registered accommodation providers keep a record of all names of renters with their contact information. Failure to provide your email address or complete a booking form can result in cancellation of your booking.

Refundable Damage Deposit

A damage Deposit of €300 is taken on your arrival. This is held until your departure as a caution against damage or breakages.

Cancellation Policy

Alteration or Cancellation by the Client
Any alterations made to the booking except name changes and additions to the existing booking within 6 weeks of departure shall be deemed to be a cancellation of the existing booking. Cancellations will only be effective when written notice of cancellation, signed by the person signing the booking form, is received by our office by email. Cancellation charges will be levied as follows:

More than 42 days (6 weeks) - Deposit (25%)
29 - 42 days - 50%
15 - 28 days - 70%
8 - 14 days - 85%
Less than 7 - 100%

No refunds will be made for unused chalet, apartment or hotel accommodation nor for meals not taken in chalets or hotels. Agents of the Company are not entitled to promise such refunds and the Company accepts no such promises. The person signing the booking form shall be responsible for all those in his/her party and undertakes to pay for any damages caused by him/herself or any member of the party to property used or let by the Company and to pay for any extra cleaning necessary as a result of any member of the party. Only those persons named on the Booking Form are entitled to stay in the accommodation named on the Booking Form, and any changes to the names or numbers on the booking form must be made to us in writing prior to the start of the holiday.
