Go back to a simpler time on Hatteras Island in this delightful 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home built in 1952 by historic Hatteras shipbuilder, Charlie Styron. Set on almost half an acre, yet surrounded by 5 acres of undeveloped land in the heart of Hatteras Village, you can be in the heart of it all, yet tucked away in peace and privacy in the Outer Banks' most quintessential fishing village.

This home has never been rented and has always been the family home of the man who built it with his own hands. This is a place for families, for rest, for enjoying the old God-given salt life. With families of our own, we wanted to provide a wholesome place for our children to grow up, and we have opened our home to other families who are looking for a wholesome and beautifully simple environment that recalls simpler times of spending time together in the sun, the sand, and the island wind.

As an explicitly Catholic home, we have a strict standard of not allowing any viewing of inappropriate or immoral content on TV or personal devices. This was the home of a strong Christian family, and we could sense it when we first walked in. We strongly feel that pornography and R rated movies bring with them dark and diabolical spirits that can infest the home and influence the children of those who indulge, and we strongly insist that there be no place for it in Stella Maris. This is why we have intentionally made this home available to rent for a select number of families who share our vision. Vacation rentals can have vastly different people who stay in them from week to week, many who can live directly opposed to the Christian moral code, and one never knows what actions have been performed on their premises.

But at Stella Maris, you can rest easy that when you bring your family to our home, you know that this is explicitly a home of blessings, prayer, and the good moral life, properly blessed by a Catholic priest. As children, our summer vacations at the beach with our family were some of the best memories of our lives, and we hope that Stella Maris can provide that cheerful space for creating new sunny memories with your family that will last a lifetime.
