Sentosa Cabin - Schuyler

Sentosa Cabin is a remote haven for nature lovers. Ideal for couples or a single traveler looking for a quiet escape in the country. Located in a serene location with beautiful mountain views from the back deck, it is tucked away in the woods for relaxation in nature. There are over 2 miles of hiking/nature trails on the property that connect to the Rockfish River, that are available for guests to use. While you have access to the Rockfish River through wooded trails, it is about a 15-20 minute walk through wooded trails on hilly terrain to get there. While secluded, it is also convenient to wineries, breweries, orchards, hiking, Walton's Mountain Museum and an easy drive to Charlottesville. This cozy cabin sleeps maximum 2. The space

Cozy, remote cabin, 378 square feet with 150 square feet of covered back deck space available to enjoy the tranquility and mountain views. Enjoy the serenity of the woods, watching for local wildlife, birds, woodpeckers, deer and sometimes a bear.

Ceiling fan in bedroom (queen bed), full closet to store your luggage, stacked washer and dryer. Full size appliances in kitchen but NO dishwasher. Electric heat and air conditioning (mini-split unit). Wireless and USB chargers next to bed. Keypad front door entry for self check in. Two TVs (Roku) - bring your own passwords for movie accounts. Over 2 miles of hiking/nature trails on property. Free high speed, fiber Wifi.

Starter supplies - Coffee pods, tea bags, sugar packets, creamer, bottled water, cooking spray, salt, pepper, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, dish soap, hand soap, paper towels. Basic cleaning supplies and laundry detergent available. Sheets, bath towels, kitchen towels and oven mitts provided.

Exterior security camera located on front of cabin, pointing to parking space. Alarm will not be set while guests are on site. There are no cameras inside unit. This is for security and self-check in only and will not affect your privacy.

Sentosa Lane is a paved driveway with a steep incline. The cabin has a short gravel parking area for 2 cars max. If snow/ice is expected during your stay, a 4WD is strongly advised.

Outdoor propane fire pit on deck and string lights for ambiance. Charcoal grill - BYO charcoal, lighter fluid, etc. There is often charcoal & lighter fluid available that is left from other guests but can't be guaranteed. Cooking tools provided.

Owners live on the same 90 acre property as the cabin but not within sight so the cabin is very private. We are usually available if needed during the stay.

**Wildlife and Insects Disclaimer – This cabin is located in the woods with wildlife native to this area. Please be aware that there may be deer, raccoons, fox, squirrels, bears, opossums, snakes, as well as other wildlife. The two snakes that are poisonous in this region are the Timber Rattler and the Copperhead. Please be aware of this when walking on the property and in the vicinity. Please close the lid firmly on outside trash can so as to not attract bears or other animals.

Depending on the time of year and the weather conditions, guests may encounter mosquitoes, gnats, bees, “no see-ums” (tiny mosquito type bugs you can’t see but they bite) stink bugs, ladybugs, and other random bugs. Although we do have the cabin treated monthly, you may still see a random bug. You can help by keeping the doors closed and not keeping doors open at night when the lights inside are on. We are unable to offer any guarantees against or refunds for the occasional bug that may make it inside our home. Thank you for understanding that we cannot control mother nature. :)
