Luxurious Garden Retreat - Portland

This is the detached garage to our home that we lovingly renovated into a retreat-like space for family and friends. It is a small space (about 435 square feet), but designed thoughtfully to maximize space. We hope everyone who stays here feels relaxed and comfortable with their needs met.

A few notable amenities include:

-heated floors throughout

-air conditioning

-California king bed

-soaking tub

-rain shower head with detachable wand

-stacking washer and dryer

-koala couch with fold out full size bed

-sky lights in the kitchen and bathroom

The kitchen is not a full kitchen because it does not have a stove/oven unit. However the space is intended to be used by our kid’s grandparents for extended visits, so it is well appointed with everything you might need for cooking and baking, including:

-full sized fridge with freezer

-dishwasher

-portable induction cooktop

-toaster oven/ air fryer that can fit a small pizza

-mini instant pot

-blender

-immersion blender and food processor

-basic cooking essentials (spices, flour, sugar, oil, vinegars, condiments)

-cooking utensils and tools

We will likely be home during your stay, so you will probably see us. We have a toddler and baby, and may use the backyard which is next to your unit. There is a small garden patio out your back door for you to enjoy the outdoors privately.

We’re happy to share baby/toddler supplies if you have a child in tow!

Our neighborhood is quiet and lovely. We’re close to the airport which means there is occasional airplane noise but the area feels very peaceful. There is a park with a playground a 7 minute walk away. Within 10 minutes you can walk to an area with numerous restaurants and cafes, and within 5 minutes driving you can get to NE Fremont with the famous Pip’s Doughnuts and Chai, as well as NE Alberta, a popular street for locals and tourists. We may be able to lend you bicycles to use.

Note: The bedroom does not have a window covering but we provide eye masks.
