Cozy junior 1bdrm apt in Flatbush, Brooklyn - Brooklyn

My cozy, quaint, and (usually) quiet junior 1 bedroom is in the historic Flatbush - Prospect Park South area of Brooklyn. My place is in a building dating back to the 1910s-20s in a safe but older and less maintained street when compared to other transformed/gentrified areas of the city with newer buildings.

I am on a short street that ends with the busy Prospect Park Parade Grounds sports fields, dog park, and police station on one side, and the historic and leafy Victorian home section of Ditmas Park in Flatbush, Brooklyn on the other side. This area was recently featured in the new Amazon Prime series, Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

This neighborhood is a vibrant area with a mix of immigrants, creatives, working class and affluent New Yorkers coexisting daily. There is a heavy West Indian, Latin, and South Asian presence that enriches the area culturally and offers great dining options.

I'm walking distance from the Cortelyou Rd., Flatbush Ave, and Church Ave. main streets with great restaurants, bars, cafes, and traditional bagel shops, and pizzerias.

Transportation: I'm a 10-15 minute walk from the Q, B, F, and G trains which take you into Downtown Brooklyn in 15 min. and lower Manhattan (LES, EV, SOHO, FIDI) in 35 min. The G also takes you directly to Park Slope, Carrol Gardens, Fort Greene, Bed-Stuy, Williamsburg, Greenpoint, in Brooklyn and LIC in Queens.
