Nestled in a peaceful corner of Lugano, this air-conditioned and centrally heated holiday studio is just a 20-minutes walk from the Piazza della Reforma in Lugano. The second-floor studio accommodates up to 2 guests and offers everything you would need for a pleasant self-catering stay. There is a cosy balcony with open-air dining that you can enjoy in any weather and with a view of Monte Bre, thanks to a removable sunshade.

Inside, you will find a dining table for 4 with a large flat-screen SAT-TV to dine with the same comfort and enjoyment as at your own home. An elevated seating corner with a large orange sofa accompanied by an ottoman gives you perfect moments of relaxation after exploring the vibrant city of Lugano. At the same time, the holiday apartment’s fully-equipped kitchen and modern kitchen with a dishwasher, oven, Nespresso machine, toaster and fridge with freezer ensures that guests can prepare any kind of meal at their leisure here!

A laptop-friendly workplace and Wi-Fi also make this apartment perfect for a city break and remote working from Lugano! For extended stays, a wardrobe for storage, washing machine and ironing facilities are also available at the apartment.

Location

The holiday apartment is located in the well-serviced neighbourhood of Viganello in Lugano. Several restaurants like a fast-food restaurant, a pizzeria, a bar and a pub are located just next door. A supermarket is also within a 2-minutes walking distance for a carefree, self-catered stay.

From the apartment’s location, a 20-minutes walk will take you to the historic Piazza della Reforma with its wide range of shops and restaurants as well as interesting architecture. Here you will also find the iconic Parco Ciani on Lake Lugano, paragliding opportunities, the experiential Trenino Turistico of Lugano and the Lugano Casino.

On Monte Brè, (the funicular is just a short 4-minutes drive) you can enjoy trekking, sunny terraced restaurants and even visit the picturesque lakeside village of Gandria on your way back. For active vacations, Lugano boasts almost 300 km of cyclable paths to enjoy as well as the Sentiero dell’ Olivo hiking trail.

Guests can also visit the Swiss Miniatur attraction, the Museum dedicated to the famous writer Herman Hesse and the San Salvatore funicular within a short 20-minutes drive from the holiday apartment. Other amazing towns on Lake Lugano that are perfect for day trips are within a 30-45 minutes drive away; these are Locarno with its famous Madonna del Sasso, Bellinzona with the magical castles and the quiet yet beautiful village of Mendrisio. Milan Malpensa is the nearest international airport, approximately a 1 hour and 10 minutes drive from this holiday home in Lugano.
