This 3 bedroom, 2 bath reverse floor plan “beach box" is located an hour and a half from Hampton Roads, VA, three hours from Richmond, and 4 and a half hours from D.C. The bedrooms, a full bath, and a 30-foot-long ocean-facing deck are on the first floor, and a great room, dining area, kitchen, full bath, ocean-view screened porch, and ocean deck are on the upper level. Linens are provided.
Three bedrooms sleep 6 adults (can accommodate 7 if a child sleeps on a bunkbed) comfortably in a king-size bed (new in 2021), a queen-size bed (new in 2021), and a duo bunk (full-size bed on the bottom, and a twin on top-new in 2022). A spacious great room, a fully-stocked kitchen, and an open deck facing the ocean are located upstairs. A full bathroom (remodeled 2022) is located on each level. A washer and dryer are provided on the ground level.
With restaurants galore and a fully-stocked kitchen, you will never have to worry about where to eat.
An outlet mall and plenty of shopping are located nearby. Kite flying, hang gliding, stand-up paddleboarding, sightseeing, and playing in the ocean are only a few of the fabulous activities visitors can enjoy while on the OBX.
For the 2023 rental season, we have instituted additional safety measures in response to the coronavirus pandemic. In addition to our usual thorough cleaning between guests, we are using an EPA-approved disinfectant to wipe down all high-touch areas, including (but not limited to) all countertops, door knobs, drawer pulls, and light switches. If public health authorities recommend additional measures in the future, we plan to adopt those as well. Although there are no guarantees in these uncertain times, we plan to make your visit as safe as possible.

After a comfortable night’s rest, enjoy a cup of coffee on the ocean-facing balcony before walking to the beach to soak up the rays. Or, grab your gear and head out for a day of fun. Kitty Hawk, and its close proximity to the rest of the Outer Banks, offers ample entertainment for all ages.
Visit the Kitty Hawk Kayak & Surf School for kayaking, surfing, and SUP lessons and rentals. Traverse more than 1,500 acres through the Kitty Hawk Woods Coastal Preserve for a scenic peek at nature’s most tranquil views.
Don’t miss Jockey’s Ridge State Park in Nags Head, where you’ll find the tallest natural sand dune in the Eastern U.S. Open 8 AM - 7 PM daily, the park offers free admission for all. For a bit extra, you can take hang-gliding lessons or experience the thrill of taking an ATV ride to the top of the dunes.
For a change of pace, hit the Avalon Pier at MP 6. At 700 feet long and with a tackle shop on deck, the pier is the perfect place to check for bites. You can also opt for a different view of the amazing aquatic critters by heading to the North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island in Manteo. Or, take a trip to Currituck Beach in Corolla to drive your vehicle along the beach. Keep an eye out for wild horses and climb the 220 steps of the Currituck Beach Lighthouse.
Of course, you’ll need to maintain your energy as you explore the best of Kitty Hawk and the Outer Banks. Luckily, the Blarney is only a stone’s throw from the best beach fare.
For days you spend some fun in the sun at the beach, we recommend walking up to John’s. This long-time favorite Kitty Hawk staple serves a sweet treat in the form of the best milkshakes. Get a tray of shrimp or crab cakes and hushpuppies. John’s never disappoints when you’re ready to get your grub on!
Eating enthusiasts will also love The Black Pelican. The former United States Lifesaving Station was built in 1874 and has since been transformed into a sit-down specialty of Kitty Hawk. Serene panoramic ocean views add to the supreme seafood. Be sure to leave room for one of their enormous brownies!
If your taste buds are craving turf, Kitty Hawk has you covered. And after all, a trip to North Carolina is incomplete without a belly full of barbecue.
