The space
🌊 An exceptional riad in the heart of the medina — where light falls from the sky and the ocean invites itself upstairs

We push open the door and the riad suddenly reveals itself: a dizzying skylight passes through the three levels, adorned with large woven wicker pendants that descend like an artist's installation.
The white balustrade galleries open onto this luminous void on each floor.
Dar Mestoura — "the house hidden from view" — keeps its promise from a quiet alley in the medina of Essaouira, a five-minute walk from the beach.

🛋️ Living room

On the second floor, the living room surprises with its elegance. Large arches of cut stone frame the space and open onto the interior gallery — the architecture speaks for itself. Zellige tile, tuyas ceiling, glass chandelier, and carefully arranged books and cushions. A fireplace completes the set for cool evenings. It's a space made for lingering.

🍳 The kitchen

On the ground floor, around the patio. Fully equipped for real cooking: refrigerator, oven, microwave, induction hob, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, and complete dishes.
A second kitchenette in the living room on the second floor completes the suite, with a small gas stove, a refrigerator, and a washing machine.

Room 1 — On the second floor. Double bed, fireplace, rounded alcove bookcase, traditional terracotta tile, Moroccan lantern on the ceiling, woven leather bench. A room full of character, with its own private bathroom.

Room 3 — Accessible from the first terrace. Double bed, en-suite bathroom. An independent and secluded space, ideal for those who like to have their own world.

☀️ The three terraces

This is where Dar Mestoura truly comes into its own. Three terraces on three levels, three distinct atmospheres.

The first is arranged around a large table set up facing the stone barbecue and the plancha — ideal for lively outdoor meals, with its potted plants and a white staircase that climbs towards the sky.

The second, more sheltered and intimate, invites you to take a nap or read among blue cushions surrounded by cacti. A mosaic table, a view of the rooftops of the medina, time stretching out.

The third, at the very top, opens wide to the horizon. Two deck chairs facing the ocean, with a panoramic view of the sea and the ramparts of Essaouira.
In the evening, the sun sets over the Atlantic — from here, the view is spectacular.
