The drive says it all. A long allée of olive and cypress trees leads you slowly toward Dar Sukun — its white arched façade emerging from the landscape with quiet confidence. Set within gently rolling countryside near Ida Ougourd, among a forest of argan trees known as the Tree of Life, this villa is designed for one thing above all: to let you breathe.

🏡 The house
The architecture blends Moroccan textures with a quiet sense of modern comfort. Gothic-arched windows in warm ochre walls, wide arcaded galleries, terracotta floors, high ceilings. Large windows frame the surrounding landscape at every turn. Several outdoor areas offer places to sit, read, share a meal, or simply be.

🌿 The courtyard
At the heart of the house, a sunlit inner courtyard shaded by a mature tree connects the spaces, creating a natural flow between inside and outside. Terracotta-tinted walls, arched passages, potted plants catching the morning light.

🛋️ The lounge
Spacious and serene, with generous natural light. Two sofas dressed in warm stone fabric, scatter cushions with graphic prints, a pair of sculptural low armchairs with rounded rattan frames. A dramatic arc floor lamp anchors one corner. Framed prints on white walls. A carved Moroccan arch opens toward the study. An indoor fireplace for cooler evenings. Portable heaters and fans available for added comfort.

📚 The study
A proper dedicated workspace. A large black desk, cantilever chairs, a full-height bookshelf. On the wall, a striking large-format artwork — an abstract figure in black on raw wood. Wide windows look out onto the garden.

🍽️ The dining room
A long solid-wood farmhouse table beneath a sculptural woven globe pendant. Tall windows on multiple sides flood the room with light and frame the garden. A table made for long, unhurried meals.

🍳 The kitchen
Fully equipped. Warm walls, a statement raffia pendant light, open shelving with full crockery, wine glasses and silverware. Gas hob, oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso machine, hot water kettle, toaster, blender, cooking basics. Everything needed to cook properly.

🛏️ The 5 bedrooms
Master Suite — The grandest room. A wide upholstered bed in crisp white linen under Gothic-arched windows framing the countryside. Woven wall plates in geometric patterns, a rattan egg chair, a brass bedside lamp. Air conditioning. En-suite bathroom.

Second Suite — Softer and more intimate. White linen, sheer curtains, pale walls. A vintage mirror with ornate white frame. En-suite bathroom in warm terracotta tadelakt with walk-in shower and zellige tiles. Air conditioning.

Third Suite — Graphic and calm. A sculptural upholstered headboard in stone grey, bold black-and-white cushions, a juju hat on the wall. En-suite bathroom.

Kiara Room — A twin room in warm blush tones. Two single beds in floral linen, arched windows, a small white desk. Cheerful and light.

Tristan Room — A twin room in quiet blues and greys. Two single beds, Gothic-arched windows with open countryside views, a white desk and chair.

3 en-suite bathrooms — one with bathtub, the others with showers. Traditional Moroccan zellige tiles, pedestal sinks, iron towel rails. 1 additional shared bathroom with zellige tilework in terracotta and deep geometric patterns. Hot water throughout. Towels provided.

Up the stairs and into open air — two woven leather chairs on a Berber rug, a low cedar table, iron-railed arched openings framing sky and treetops. Wide, uninterrupted views over the argan forest and surrounding countryside.
