Renovated Coastal Cabin - Filtered Ocean View - Mendocino County

Originally a 1930s hunting cabin, moved from the ridge to where it sits now, closer to the ocean. Completely renovated inside with updated finishes: two rooms, one bath, everything you need. The cabin comfortably fits two adults (maybe two more if you're all comfortable sharing the bathroom accessed through the bedroom) and up to two small children (best suited for 2 - 12 year olds).

The living area has a fully equipped eat-in kitchen, a wood-burning stove, a 43" Roku TV, super fast and reliable WiFi, and a queen sofa-sleeper. When the neighbors' hens are laying, we leave a complimentary 6-pack of farm-fresh eggs for you. The bedroom has a queen bed with cotton sheets and memory foam pillows, its own Roku TV, and enough quiet to actually sleep. The ensuite bathroom has a beautifully tiled walk-in shower and a folding teak bench. All rooms have in-floor radiant heat with individual thermostats.

Outside: a covered porch, a big south-facing deck with filtered views of the Pacific, and a full acre to wander. In the morning, pour a cup of coffee and ease into the day with birdsong and sea lions barking in the distance. When you're ready to explore, Pelican Bluffs and Cook's Beach are a short drive away. After your day of adventure, come back to the cabin and lounge by the propane fire table and grill up some dinner on the BBQ as the sun goes down.

A Few Notes about Rural Living: Passing cars on the 2-lane highway are audible during the day - that's just Hwy 1 - but it quiets down nicely at night. The cabin is well-screened and kept clean, but you may see the occasional insect; if something becomes a bother, message us and we'll sort it out. Our neighbors' three Labs might (but very rarely) wander over to say hello (let us know if you'd rather they head home). Deer, quail, and the occasional fox pass through the yard too. We’re on a "Triple Ozone" treated creek-fed water system — we provide an unlimited supply of bottled water for drinking.

This is our family's place; we've owned it for decades. It's very well-kept and we're super responsive. If you want somewhere clean, cozy and real on the Mendocino coast - you've found your spot.
