Arnold vacation rentals

Mouna’s vacation cabin is spacious with every accommodation we needed plus more! With all the big trees it was indeed cool indoors so we were always comfortable to hang out, sleep, and cook in the cabin. So many beautiful and mystical tributes to the mighty bear in the form of figurines, quilts, paintings, etc.! The location was perfect as it was a 3 minute walk to the private lake and then a 45 minute drive down a single highway (we couldn’t get lost going anywhere really) to Alpine Lake in the high sierras where we rented a motor boat and then SUP’s to explore around the banks of the lake. Friendly regulars and local teens instructed our boys how to find the best rock jumping locations and they rock jumped along the way. Large slabs of granite and Alpine tree groves and forests stood every direction we looked. We ate Poke Nachos and Buddha bowls at the Alpine Lodge restaurant! My 11 year old brought his fishing pole and fished at Alpine and the local lake. There were lots of adults and kids with fishing poles everywhere we went. When we got back to the cabin, we had a family tournament of pool (billiards not swimming pool) and chess, then a family movie on Netflix! the Chinese restaurant in Arnold was really tasty and healthy. It was the only place we visited without any bear regalia. If I’d known, I’d have gifted them with a little figurine or such! Ironically with so many bear idols and references across this area, we didn’t manage to encounter a single bear, much to my husband’s dismay, even when we braved the road at 10pm on foot to watch the meteor showers at the local lake. But most rational people would consider this a good thing lol. We spent 3 nights and 4 days and had a MAGICAL time there. Mouna was available via text the whole time. She was so helpful with everything!

This was the perfect house for our annual winter family getaway. The house has many amenities and was well stocked for our large group. There are three floors with the main living room and kitchen on the middle floor allowing separate spaces that can accommodate multiple families. There are plenty of beds and bathrooms and outside space. Lots of parking, and outside activities, lounging, cooking, firepit, hot tub and just enjoying the view. The location was convenient just minutes from Arnold and a short drive to Bear Valley. During our stay, there was a short PG&E outage that affected the area and Jen was extremely responsive proactively reaching out to us as she received the notification from the power company. The home was prepared with a backup generator, flashlights, and everything we needed to seamlessly continue enjoying our meal and celebrating our time with family. Jen checked on us multiple times during the couple hours we were on generator power. Great experience for all.

We stayed here in January and had a great time skiing in Bear Valley and playing at the snow parks. The house was in great condition and looks just like the photos. Most importantly, the heat worked, and was straightforward. We've seen other houses, and even stayed in another house in Arnold where the heat was either wood burning, or didn't heat up all the rooms well. The easy-to-use central heating here was efficient, comfortable, and responsive to the thermostat. The beds were comfortable. Checkin was simple and matched the clear instructions. Eloisa was such a great host. We had some questions before we got there, and she was so helpful and patient in answers our questions. After we checked out, I realized that I had forgotten an AirPod at the house. I figured it was lost. Eloisa actually wrote me back later that day that the cleaner had found it in the linens. She went to the trouble of mailing it back to me. We loved the stay and would love to stay here again next time we come, whether it's in the summer or winter.

This place was some much needed relaxation away from the bustle of regular life. Arnold has always held a special place in my heart, and this dome allowed me to see it once again! I wished I could have stayed longer! All of the amenities were very clear and concise, and the layout was simply beautiful. The pantry with easily grabbable food was a huge plus as well, and the assortment of games and puzzles added to the very cozy atmosphere, all while feeling modern and clean! A wonderful dome in a wonderful place! My wife and I hope to visit here again! Hopefully for a longer stay next time!

We stayed for 3 nights in this very beautiful, well-maintained, comfortable cabin home with so much for everyone to do, including our teenagers who loved the video game console upstairs (with over 400 games), the air hockey table in the garage, puzzles, etc. My husband and I enjoyed having a master bedroom and bathroom away from the kids, and we cooked breakfast every morning in the well-appointed kitchen, which was extremely well-equipped. The location was central to everything including Big Trees State Park, the grocery store, and restaurants. The homeowner(s) were excellent - we had great communication throughout. They were always very prompt and helpful with our inquiries, and they really care about the folks who plan to enjoy their cabin. It was a pleasure to work with them. We visited during a heatwave in the area (over 100 degrees) and were concerned about not having A/C, but the trees provided so much shade and there are fans throughout the house so we were always comfortable during our stay. We also did a load of laundry before we left, which was inside the home, super convenient, and well-stocked. That made for a nice return home with clean clothes. We definitely recommend this cabin, and look forward to our next stay!

This is our second time renting this cabin with different own-ship. Best part about this Cabin is the Parking as it accommodated our family coming from different places. Our Family love the guest house and the kids enjoyed the game room down stair. The adults enjoy the hot tube and the patio. The cabin was cozy and warm with the fireplace/stoves. One the best part extra towels in the cabinets. Loved the update on the with AC unit. Big Trees and Supermarket is just few minutes away. Also restaurant and bars down few block down.

We spend the beginning half of our kids spring break in Casa Arnold in early April. We traveled with another family with elementary-age children and the cabin had so many activities to keep the kiddos busy! From arcade games, board games, books, toys and even a ping pong table! the kids loved it and there was never a moment where they felt bored. Having all the games/activities came in handy for one of the rainy/snowy days! The cabin has everything you need and a fully stocked kitchen with every kitchen tool you need to whip up home meal. Our first day we were able to use the grill for bbq! also the jacuzzi was a nice touch after a long day. Also if you’re looking for to get out and enjoy the wilderness Big Trees State park is less then 10 minutes away! We really enjoyed our stay and hoping to come back. Katherine was a amazing and thoughtful host! I left my work laptop charger at the cabin and she was gracious enough to send it back! How thoughtful! You’ll definitely would want to check out Casa Arnold!

We had an amazing time here! Location is the strongest selling point of this house. It was a ~2 minute walk down to the little lake - perfect for going down for spontaneous jumps off the dock, after-dinner walks, or star-gazing. Easy access to the pool, tennis courts, etc. as well. The layout was great for our group of 6 - 2 grandparents, 2 parents, a toddler and a 4 year old - all three bedrooms are on the same level. Common spaces feel very open with the lofted ceilings. Very impressed at the level of toddler-proofing here - great gates on the deck, and the furniture was selected well to be kid friendly. Also appreciated the other books, toys, and gear (pak 'n play, kids plates/utensils/cups, etc). That said, for groups that don't have kids, I don't think any of those details would be noticeable. Kitchen was great - updated appliances, and well stocked with pots/pans/utensils. We appreciated that the kitchen space a good connection to the main living/dining room and the deck.
