Skiathos vacation rentals

Glorious Villa Maestrali! Although our family has been renting houses on Skiathos since 1976, We have never had a happier, more beautiful holiday than the two weeks we just spent at the Villa Maestrali with our son and his wife and our 13-year old grandson. Perfectly located on the Kanapitsa peninsula near excellent beaches and tavernas and with an incomparable view of the sea on both sides of the house, Villa Maestrali is both beautiful and comfortable. The view from the front terrace looks out over a large swimming pool and a forest of pine trees to the blue sea beyond, with not a house in sight. In addition, the house is immaculate and the owners are attentive to any and all needs. All modern conveniences are provided: Air conditioning throughout, washing machine, dishwasher, electric grill, and most unusually for Skiathos, you are able to put toilet paper into the toilet! The kitchen is very well equipped; the chinaware attractive, the linens good quality. The house is all on one level, with sweeping views of the sea from the living room and large front terrace and a glimpse from the back terrace as well. The terrace is lined with large pots of hibiscus and hydrangeas, well-tended by the gardener. There is both an inside and outside dining table with comfortable chairs. The garden visible from the kitchen window is full of herbs for one’s use. All three bedrooms are the same size and brightly furnished. One has its own bathroom; the other two share a bath. And by the way, solar-hot water is plentiful, and the water pressure is excellent. What else? The help come twice a week and are efficient and friendly. Weezie and Darcy have compiled a wonderful book about the Villa, recommendations about restaurants and beaches, maps. They will greet you when you arrive, and they prepare a generous ‘welcome package’ to get you started with a glass of wine and breakfast makings. We can’t wait to go back!

Location was absolutely perfect, peaceful but within easy reach of all the beaches, shops and the old town. The farmhouse is wonderful, spacious and has a great outside and pool area. Our hosts couldn’t have been more welcoming. The house was stocked with all the basics upon our arrival which was not expected but so much appreciated. From milk, bread, fruit and their wonderful homegrown Vegys, which came in a steady stream throughout our stay. Thank you Geof and Lida, u come highly recommended!
