Falcon Cottage - Pahrump

Your private oasis!! This peaceful & clean retreat is located just 1 hour from the Las Vegas Strip & 1 hour from Death Valley. Our spacious property is over an acre & the very private Falcon Cottage is located at the far rear of our property and is safe, private, fenced, & secure.

The huge desert-landscaped yard is a beautiful place to swim, have a fire, play giant Jenga, roast marshmallows, relax, read, play horseshoes, cornhole, or darts, & enjoy amazing stargazing at night.

The cottage is large, comfortable, & designed to make you feel right at home.

The 1100 sqft Falcon Cottage has been fully renovated with brand new flooring, paint, kitchen cabinets, molding, and an all-new massive front patio with furniture, games, grills, and dining tables. The cottage is spacious, clean, and comfortable. We want you to feel at home here and have a very relaxing stay.

Located just 1 hour from the Las Vegas strip and 1 hour from Death Valley, we are an excellent central point for your Mojave desert adventures. Sprawl out on the cushy living room sectional and watch a movie on the 55" smart TV ready to go with Netflix, Amazon Prime, Curiosity Stream & other streaming services, and some local Las Vegas channels.

There are 2 workspace desks so you can comfortably distance learn or work.

The kitchen appliances are an XL countertop oven (see photos), a microwave, and an electric double burner hotplate (see photos). We provide pots, pans, cooking utensils, knives, and silverware. We have stocked the kitchen for family meal prep but if there is anything you run into that you need please don't hesitate to ask. We supply breakfast bars, oatmeal, cookies, coffee, tea, hot cocoa, and other snacks to make your stay more comfortable.

The large covered cottage patio is set up for comfort and to be a fun additional living space. There is a beautiful cozy sectional, 2 dining tables, and an outdoor cooking station with 2 grills, 1 propane (provided), and 1 charcoal (charcoal not provided).

There is a large poolside seating area, a massive custom stone fire pit, large enough to burn pallets with Adirondack seating, and tons of yard games including; horseshoes, Viking bowling, darts, XL checkers, and bowling. There is also a swing set and lots of local desert plants. We supply pool towels and leave them out beside the pool for our guests.

The king bed is an extremely comfortable Swedish memory foam that molds to you and the full-size sofa bed in the bedroom is a comfy LaZBoy brand. There is a full-size closet and dresser for guest storage. In the closet, there is an air bed, additional bedding & pillows, a high chair, pack n play, as well as an iron and ironing board.

We also have a full-size bed in the living room, a twin-size daybed with a twin trundle & a twin mattress available for more sleeping space.

1 twin mattress cot is available upon request

Common area:
1 full bed
3 twin beds (1 daybed, 1 trundle, and 1 air mattress in the bedroom closet)
Large sectional with room for 2 if needed
Pack n' Play crib available in the bedroom closet (as well as a high chair)

We love kids and welcome families!

We keep a bookshelf stocked with many things for the kids! We have coloring books, crayons, books, toys, puzzles, and games for children, families, and adults.

You will have exclusive, totally private use of the cottage, pool & garden during your stay. The pool is not shared with me or anyone other guests during your booking.

You are welcome to the entire large cottage and the outdoors and patio portion of the property. You are welcome to use the pool toys, patio furniture, and firepit.

Please use things with care and tie the pool floats back up so they don't blow into a cactus.

***It does get cold in the desert so please keep the weather in mind. The pool is not heated.***

I live in the home at the front of the property. I can be available to answer any questions or assist with anything you may need, but we leave our guests to enjoy their stay. We have one pet, and guests don't see our dog unless they request to.

We are located in Pahrump, NV. 1 hour from the Las Vegas strip & 1 hour from the park entrance to Death Valley National Park. Our nearest cross streets are Gamebird & Pahrump Valley Blvd. The zip code is 89048, please feel free to look up our location or check the weather.

This rural neighborhood is a quiet one with a lot of open desert space, behind the guest house there is nothing but desert for miles! All the homes in our area are on an acre+ lot so there is a lot of space and it is easy to enjoy the beauty of the desert. Feel free to bring your ATVs and off-road gear! We have direct access to miles of trails and open desert.

Our property is entirely fenced and guests enter through a driveway gate. You are welcome to leave the gate open or close it, it is entirely up to you.

We have beautiful mountain views and are centrally located to many points of interest. We are only a 7-minute drive from the center of Pahrump which has many grocery stores, casinos, and restaurants.

You will need a vehicle to get to this part of Nevada. We are a rural town 1 hour west of Las Vegas. There is plenty of parking in the front of the cottage for many vehicles and if you are traveling by motorhome or larger vehicle we have plenty of parking for that too. LYFT (similar to uber) is available in our area as well as local taxis.

Please always have a parent or guardian watching children in the pool area. No lifeguard. Swim at your own risk.

We have some beautiful native cacti incorporated into the landscaping of the backyard. They are not on the walking paths but please be careful.

***It does get very cold in the fall and winter so please keep the weather in mind if you were planning on using the UNHEATED pool in those seasons. Comfortable swim temps for most are from mid-May until October***

We live on-site in the main house but leave the guests entirely alone to enjoy their privacy. The pool and yard are exclusively yours during your stay. We are available if you need us.
