Sayulita has gained huge notoriety for it's surfing and quaint Mexican town feel. The town is about a 30 to 45 minute drive from our condo. Although with all of it's notoriety has come a lot of tourists and traffic. Some love it and some don't... You be the judge. I'm a believer it's nice to be able to say “been there, done that”! Having said that, if you head North another 15 minutes you will find San Pancho, which is probably what Sayulita was like 20 years ago.

Growing ecological awareness and stricter zoning enforcement have caused development to be regulated in order to help safeguard the environment and quality of life. Sayulita has a medical office with an English-speaking doctor and pharmacist, a number of internet cafes, and a wide variety of open-air eateries, some located right on the sand beach.
