Neighborhood description

We are in the eastern part of the island with some permanent and some seasonal residents. The uncrowded beaches on this part and the magical tide pools make this the perfect destination for beachgoers and families with kids! Staying here you will enjoy Oak Island like a local! You will be just a few blocks from Middleton Park, the town's activity center with a Splash Pad, playground, tennis courts and the home to Farmer's markets and the Outdoor Concert series in the summer. There are 2 grocery stores on the island - Publix and Food Lion as well as a Lowe's Foods just off the island. For grocery delivery, you can either use Instacart or the Grocery Gals(FB - NCGroceryGals) from the island. While Food Lion is a few blocks away, they also offer grocery ordering online and pickup at store for $1.99 on orders over $35 or delivery for $3.99. For bike, kayaks, tents, umbrellas and beach chair rentals, check out Quicksand Beach Concierge or Boomers Rentals. For golf cart rentals, check out Oak Island Golf Cart Rentals or Island Cart Rentals. All of these businesses offer delivery & pickup service. For a boat or jet ski rental, check out Fantasea. We do not provide beach towels, please plan to bring them with you or rent them from Sharon's Linens. If you are interested in taking family photographs during your stay, you can reach out to Katie D Photography.
