Reset your senses, balance your well-being and soak up the sun on the magical island of Vulcano. Peacefully situated in the most idyllic location, on the edge of the island’s peninsular, this spacious, ground-floor apartment comfortably sleeps six.

Guests can relax in the sun-drenched pool and enjoy the unforgettable views over the Tyrrhenian Sea or get lost in a book on the spacious sun deck. Inside, the modern, open plan kitchen/dining room opens out on to a cool, covered terrace and is equipped with a gas hob, a large fridge freezer and a dining table that can be enjoyed inside or out.

Location

Named after the God of Fire, the Aeolian Island of Vulcano is located off the coast of Sicily. The island is home to one of the most active volcanoes in Europe and is known for its dramatic landscapes, therapeutic mud baths and beautiful beaches.

For a natural spa day guests can visit the Pozza dei Fanghi, mud baths (a 4-minute drive), followed by a trip to Spiaggia delle Acque Calde (a 3-minute drive), a natural jacuzzi where submarine volcanic fumaroles eject hot steam.

The waters around Vulcano offer incredible diving and snorkelling experiences, featuring lava formations, volcanic caves and an abundance of marine life. Guests can hire a boat, take an excursion or drive to dive sites including Punta Aria (a 24-minute drive) Gelso beach or Spiaggia dell'Asino (both a 26-minute drive). For a tropical vibe and bustling restaurant scene, Asino Beach (a 25-minute drive away) is a great place to spend a day relaxing in the sun.

Hiking to the summit of the Gran Cratere (an 11-minute drive) is another popular activity on Vulcano. The volcano offers panoramic views of the island and the surrounding Aeolian archipelago.

The closest airport to Vulcano is Catania-Fontanarossa Airport (CTA) in Sicily. Visitors will need to take the ferry/hydrofoil from Milazzo (a 1-hour 45-minute drive from the airport) to reach the island (approximately a 1-hour 45-minute journey).

The accommodation is a 5-minute drive from the port in Volcano.
