Birch Cottage by Salt & City Stays is a beautifully converted stone retreat in rural Pembrokeshire, sleeping up to 4 guests. Ideal for families or couples, it blends exposed beams and character with modern comfort in a peaceful countryside setting. The cottage offers a cosy lounge with smart TV, a fully equipped kitchen, one double and one twin bedroom, plus a family bathroom. Outside, enjoy your private courtyard seating area and shared access to the heated indoor pool, sauna and gym.

The spacious lounge features comfortable sofas and a smart TV, ideal for relaxing after a day exploring Pembrokeshire’s beaches and countryside. Upstairs, there is one double bedroom and one twin bedroom, along with a family bathroom with a bath and overhead shower.

Outside, guests can enjoy a private courtyard seating area with a picnic table, overlooking the duck pond and with views towards Plumstone Mountain — a peaceful setting for summer evenings or a morning coffee.

Guests have shared access to the heated indoor swimming pool, sauna and gym, and spa treatments are available on-site with advance booking. Scolton Cottages is particularly well suited to families, offering an adventure playground, football goal and open grounds to explore, while the neighbouring Scolton Manor estate provides additional walking trails and activities for all ages.

During your stay, you will have exclusive access to the entire cottage. The pool and sauna facilities are shared and available for use from 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM, Monday to Saturday, and from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Sundays. You can also enjoy the shared outdoor spaces, including the courtyard and gardens.

On-site parking is provided for your convenience.

Additionally, there is a beautiful spa facility on-site that offers relaxing spa days, treatments, and afternoon teas. These services are available at an extra cost and can be booked directly with the spa team.

John and Noella live at Scolton Cottages and are always on hand should you need anything at all during your stay. Tom and the team at Salt & City Stays are available 7-days a week via your booking channel to answer any questions you may have before arrival. You could enjoy the many woodland walks around Scolton Country Park next door, which our guests can access directly. Here, there’s a wealth of wildlife, plus a museum, adventure playground, coffee shop, gift shop, and, of course, Scolton Manor house, where you can learn the history of Scolton.

If you fancy popping out for a drink or a bite to eat, the local pub – The Pump on the Green – is just a couple of miles away in the neighbouring village of Spittal. ‘The Pump’ provides excellent pub meals and Sunday roasts in a family-friendly atmosphere.

Scolton Cottages are ideally located just 5 miles north of Haverfordwest, providing easy access to the amenities of this charming market town. The cottages are also conveniently close to some of Pembrokeshire's finest beaches and coastal walks. Within a 30-minute drive, you can reach the beautiful beaches of Newgale, Nolton Haven, and Little Haven, known for their stunning scenery and wildlife.

For those seeking indoor activities, Hanger 5, Wales’ first indoor trampoline park, is located just three miles north of Haverfordwest on the way to Fishguard. Whether you prefer exploring the town, enjoying the sandy beaches, or engaging in some fun indoor activities, Scolton Cottages offer a perfect base for your Pembrokeshire adventure.
