Location description : Zierow is a municipality in the north of the district of Nordwestmecklenburg in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The municipality borders directly on the Hanseatic town of Wismar and lies on the Bay of Wismar, opposite the islands of Poel and Walfisch. Zierow is a beautiful holiday destination for families, nature lovers and cyclists. The village is surrounded by forests and leads between fields directly to the beach section at Eggers Wiek. In the immediate vicinity is the paved Baltic Sea long-distance cycle path, which offers opportunities to explore the surrounding area.
Other sports and leisure facilities: Zierow offers a gently sloping, fine sandy beach, which is very suitable for children. There is a well-maintained playground on the beach with lots of play facilities. In the immediate vicinity is the Zierow campsite with petting zoo, restaurant, swimming pool and sauna as well as a riding stable. Shopping centres with a wide range of goods are approx. 3 minutes away by car. The Hanseatic city of Wismar with its harbour and the old town, which is well worth seeing, can be reached in approx. 10 minutes by car. In Wismar you will find a zoo, the indoor playground "Mumpitz" and the adventure pool "Wonnemar".
