type of building: Multiple-family dwelling. no group bookings. no youth groups.The Monasterio de San Antonio flat block is a very beautiful, 200-year-old former monastery building with a typical inner courtyard, winding staircases and a large sun terrace with wonderful views of the Atlantic and the mountains. It is a fine example of Canarian architecture. During the complete renovation in 2010, its originality and charm were fully preserved. The mostly young international guests like to use the Apartamentos Monasterio de San Antonio as an ideal starting point for mountain bike or hiking tours as well as excursions to the diverse regions of the island.
Facilities: The complex consists of 6 flats, a studio and a marvellous large roof terrace with views over the entire valley and the sea. The flats each consist of a bedroom, a living room, a bathroom and a kitchen or kitchenette. Televisions with digital satellite (German) or digital local TV are of course available to guests free of charge in each flat. The kitchens are equipped with a toaster, coffee machine (deposit required), espresso maker, washing-up liquid, tea towels and other utensils for daily use.
The house is located on the green outskirts of Icod de los Vinos at approx. 325 metres above sea level. The famous dragon tree and the historic town centre are only about 800 metres away. It is a quiet location with beautiful mountain and Atlantic views. There are also restaurants, shops and supermarkets nearby. One of the largest volcanic caves (La Cueva del Viento) is also very close by and the nearest beach (Playa de San Marcos) with bars and restaurants is just 3.5 kilometres away.
Cleaning/service - Cleaning once a week (for a minimum stay of 14 days) - Change of bed linen once a week (for a minimum stay of 14 days) - Towels changed every 5 days - Beach towels (free of charge, deposit required) - Safe for hire (free of charge, deposit required) - Laundry service for a fee (washing, drying, ironing)
Flat 4 with private balcony and sea view: This flat is located on the first floor of our house and is furnished in a rustic Mexican style. All windows face the quiet inner courtyard. The flat has a private balcony with sea views. The living area is divided into a dining area directly by the window to the balcony, a kitchenette and the actual living area with sofa and two armchairs. The bathroom with shower is accessed from the bedroom. German satellite TV or local TV via DVBT. Of course, the large communal terrace can also be used.
