Colter's Cabin is located in beautiful Cooke City, Montana near Yellowstone National Park. We are located within walking distance to shops and restaurants in the historic town of Cooke City, MT. There are countless activities right outside your door including hiking, 4 wheeling, fishing, sight seeing, wildlife watching, skiing, snowmobiling only to name a few. You will be surrounded by beautiful scenery in any direction.

This cabin is located right on main street and boasts incredible mountain views from every window. This cabin includes four bedrooms and two baths all on one level.

We are new owners and we are working on several upgrades. We will post updates as soon as we can! We are looking forward to having you enjoy this special place.

Guests will have access to the entire space and patio.

We are on-site sometimes but not always. We have support staff in the area. We have contact-less entry and check out with a lock box key.

This cabin is right in Cooke City. You will be able to walk for coffee, shopping, food and bars. There are also lots of hiking trails nearby.

In the winter, Cooke City is a world wide snowmobile destination. There is snowmobile traffic by the cabin during the day. It quiets down in the evening.

Note for WINTER visitors: The only road open to Cooke City in the winter is through Yellowstone National Park from the Gardiner entrance. The roads from Red Lodge, MT and Cody, WY are not open in the winter.

There is no cell service in Cooke City. We recommend enabling wifi calling and texting prior to your visit if you need to communicate with outside parties during your stay.

There are limited groceries in Cooke City. We recommend shopping in a bigger town prior to your arrival. Basic groceries may be purchased at the High Country Motel or the gas stations in town.
