The Citadel is a spacious 4-bedroom (Sleeps five adults & up to 3 children) just an hour from Sydney that offers space, a private pool, a stunning entertainment deck, and plenty of things for the kids to do.
The house has direct access to the bush and enjoys stunning views from its elevated position perched at the top of an affluent culdesac overlooking Umina & Ettalong.
We are a stone's throw from a bustling cafe and restaurant scene and some of the best beach and beauty spots in NSW.Its' been a tough couple of years for you and the family, right?
Spring brings does bring an air of optimism, though.
It's the perfect time for you and the family to pull the breaks, escape the monotony of your surroundings, and enjoy a much-needed coastal family getaway.

THE DETAIL
The House
The house comfortably sleeps eight, but we cap it at five adults plus kids. (single-family units and mature groups only, I am afraid).
Open plan with a cathedral-like high ceiling kept warm with our industrial split-level air con.
House enjoys unique interior touches throughout, a labour of love by Alice, who creates furniture for a living.
Kitchen
The kitchen dining area enjoys a French farmhouse dining table, smart TV, breakfast bar and stunning sea and bush views.
Entertainment Deck
The kitchen opens up to our wonderful entertainment deck. The view is stunning, and the silence is deafening. The oversized dinner table, outdoor sofa, patio heater and Weber BBQ are there to facilitate special family memories. The area allows mum and dad to overlook the kids in the pool while taking in the panoramic water views to the front.
Raised Deck
We have created a compact raised deck that directly overlooks the pool (couples deck?), giving you another option to have your own space.
Pool
The pool, which runs directly off a national park, is entirely private and has a sofa, bench, and sun umbrella for your lounging pleasure.
Living Room
The living room has an open plan yet is cosy with sheep skin Otterman, custom-designed armchairs, leather sofa, 48inch smart TV,
Bedrooms
We have four spacious bedrooms, all with inbuilt wardrobes, three with queen beds and one with bunks for the little ones. (with toys and games for the kids)
The Master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and a private courtyard with a seating area.

Meet the Host
We are a young family from England and Scotland (yes they can get along, sometimes), with two little cheeky Aussie kids.
I am passionate about interiors, furniture and sustainability. I have a upcycle furniture side-hustle which I run in the limited spare time my kids allow.
We found this place five years ago, and couldn't believe our luck.
We take great pride in sharing it with visitors through, it's been a very rewarding labour of love.

Getting around
You will need a car to get around, due to the steep hill we live on.
We are 8-minute drive from Woy Woy station, where you can get a train straight into Central Station in Sydney in around one hour and 15. (they run 24/7)
There is free parking available at the station.
Tit will pick you up from the house and take you to the station if you intended to work/ commute t
At the bottom of our steep hill, there is a bus stop that will get you into Ettalong or Woy Woy or Umina. It's about a 15-minute walk down the mountain.
There is usually a Uber available as well.
There is parking aplenty in our street and the area generally. You will only hit a problem trying to find a spot at Umina Beach during a peak-peak time, e.g. 10 am on Sunday when the markets are on.
We live basically on National Park, as there are some great trails you can explore directly from the back gate.
