Welcome to our beautifully restored family home, a peaceful and stylish space in the heart of Olhão which we love. With a perfect balance of comfort, creativity, and charm, our home is an ideal space for couples, families, or friends looking to relax, explore, and enjoy everything the beautiful East Algarve has to offer.

This is not a blank, empty holiday rental -it’s a lovingly curated home filled with personality, soul, and thoughtful details. If you’re looking for a place full of warmth, character, and comfort, this is for you.

The Space
2-bedroom house (but please note: one bedroom, our daughter’s room, will be locked)
Main Bedroom -Peaceful and stylish with a comfortable double bed, crisp white cotton sheets, air conditioning and black out curtain & blind.
Living Room /Comfortable sofa bed that can be made up as a single or double, also with crisp white cotton sheets and air-conditioning.
Bathroom with walk-in shower, white cotton towels and plants all around.

We’ll clear our personal family belongings to ensure the space feels uncluttered, calm, and welcoming.

Design & Interiors
Our home has been carefully restored and decorated using a mix of locally sourced handmade tiles, original artwork, and eclectic objects found locally and from all around the world, in flea markets, brocantes and beyond. Every corner has been considered, combining old-world charm with modern convenience.

Our favourite part of the home is the rooftop terrace -a hidden gem that feels like your own little urban oasis overlooking Olhão's beautiful whitewashed rooftops and famous Algarve chimneys.

*a note on the exterior of the house: this is still a work in progress. We have worked hard to complete our renovation in time for the summer and the interior is finished. We are yet to paint the outside of our house and front door. The faded paintwork for the time being is quite charming though!*

Air conditioning used sparingly and responsibly (we kindly ask you to do the same)
Guests encouraged to use eco-settings on appliances and only run the washing machine & dishwasher with full loads. .

Babysitting – Steph is a qualified nursery nurse with a degree in Early Childhood Studies & Education and offers babysitting for peace of mind

Bespoke Picnic Lunches or Dinners at Home – Perfect for beach days or relaxed evenings in.

Pre-stocked Kitchen -Send us your grocery list and we’ll have the kitchen ready for your arrival.

Family-Friendly Fun -We’re happy to meet you at the beach with our own kids for a relaxed and sociable outing

Meet Your Hosts
We’re Ben and Steph, originally from London with Swiss, Polish, Welsh, and Guyanese roots. After many years living in vibrant Brixton, South London, we made the leap to Portugal two years ago with our two daughters (now aged 8 and 4). We first moved to the countryside in the Algarvian hills, then settled in Olhão, where we’ve built a life we love.

When you stay at our home, we move to a little house just a few streets away -so we’re always close by and happy to help if needed, but will absolutely respect your privacy and space.

We’ve been hosting on Airbnb for over a decade and were Superhosts in London. Our goal is to bring that same attention to detail, warmth, and hospitality to our new Algarve home.

Local Knowledge & Recommendations
We know and love Olhão and the East Algarve -and we’re always happy to share our favourite beaches, eateries, shops, markets etc.

Tell us what you’re into, and we’ll tailor recommendations just for you. And if we don’t know the answer, we’ll do our best to find out!

More Than a Stay
This home is more than just a place to sleep -it’s home full of beauty, comfort, and small pleasures. Whether you’re here to rest, explore, or just soak up the laid-back rhythm of Olhão, we’d love to welcome you.

*TOURIST CITY TAX*
Please note all adult guests are required to pay a tourist city tax in Olhão. This is a fee charged to all adult tourists (16+) who stay in tourist enterprises or local accommodations.
The goal is to raise funds so that the municipality can re-invest in the infrastructure which supports tourism in the town.
HIGH SEASON: 2€ per person per night during April-October
LOW SEASON: €1 per person per night during November-March
This is charged for up to 5 nights per stay, capping the total per person at 10€ in high season and €5 in low season.
Please can this be paid in cash (left in the designated pot in the house)
