Ski In/Ski Out Map provides the location of 18 Low Dog, which is situated on Low Dog Road. When roads are snowed on, you can ski down to the entrance to the Resort at the end of Low Dog Road and jump on a trail to take you to Thunder Wolf lift.
The Cowgirl Room has a King Bed and Two Twins(a daybed and a trundle) with mattresses that are more ‘adult compatible.’ This room shares a hall bathroom with the Cowboy room.
Welcome to the Cowboy Room! You’ll find a King Bed with built-in storage; a large closet and twin ‘kid friendly’ bunk beds with a trundle. The 3 bunk bed mattresses are intentionally thin( for clearance reasons) but you can convert the bed to king.
Meet Gerald, our resident fox (or quite possibly ‘foxes’). Be mindful of leaving shoes, gloves, towels unattended on or around the hot tub and deck. Gerald is a collector and has been known to run off with these things. . . Not to be seen again!

About this place

If you’ve been looking for the perfect four-season, multi-family getaway in Big Sky, look no further: you’ve found it with this spectacular home. Located about six miles west of downtown Big Sky, comfortable walking distance to the Mountain Village at Big Sky Resort, you won’t want to leave the comforts of this lovely home.

With three King Bedrooms, two queen bedrooms, a brand new ‘adult worthy’ bonus bunk room, and two large living spaces, the house is fit for a king, queen and their court.

The space
Located on the Resort/Mountain Side of Low Dog Road, you’ll come up our private driveway to the house with parking for up to 4 cars as well as a large garage which can house one car. Any additional cars can park on the driveway just outside the garage. Street parking is very limited in the winter due to snow and plowing. (If there is no snow, it’s much easier to park!)

As you enter the house through the front door/entryway (also accessible from the garage), you’ll come into a entryway with heated ceramic tile floors, a place to stow your boots and hang up coats, from there, you can either enter the original house, or a dedicated staircase to the brand new bonus bunk room. The Bunk Room is a large window-filled room with views of the mountains to the north, south and east. In this room, you’ll find 2 twin bunk beds(4 beds), two full bunk beds(4 beds) and a triple full bunk bed(3 beds), which sleeps between 11 (without sharing) and 18 (if sharing full-sized beds). The large, spa-styled ‘camp’ or ‘dorm’ bathroom has two private water closets, two private showers, and a large trough sink to accommodate a large group of guests.

To enter the original house, you will turn left when entering the house, and come down a hallway to an intersection. To your right, there are two queen bedrooms that share a hall bathroom with two sinks and a large shower. Turning left, you’ll enter the great room, which features soaring ceilings with knotty-pine detailing, exposed beams, hardwood floors, and enormous windows that flood the space with natural light. The stylish, well-equipped kitchen features a full suite of stainless steel appliances, including a six-burner gas range. At mealtime, there’s a table set for the whole gang, which seats up to 14 with an additional 4 at the island.

Heading downstairs to the first floor of the house, you’ll find a second living room area with a sectional couch and a large leather sofa, as well as a second kitchen, so the kids won’t have to come upstairs for snacks when they take over the cozy theater worthy space. Descending from the main stairwell, you’ll find two bedrooms with private entrances to the front of the house. These rooms are the ‘Cowboys’ and ‘Cowgirls’ rooms. The Cowboys room features a large King bed as well as twin bunk set with a twin trundle; and the Cowgirls bedroom next door has a large King bed and a twin daybed with a trundle. A Queen Murphy bed in the rec room allows for additional guests.

Finally, the primary King bedroom is on the 3rd floor of the house; it has a private deck and en suite bathroom with a swoon-worthy soaking tub (as well as a Twin Daybed). On the same level, there is a private office with views of the mountain and a sofa which can convert to a Queen. The dedicated workspace with high-speed WiFi makes any remote work on your plate a breeze.

Outside the great room, you’ll find one deck facing south and another deck that wraps around the house from the western side to the northern side, all with mountain views, offering the perfect perch for morning coffee or evening cocktails.

When you return from a day of fun, a soak in the private hot tub or a steam in the sauna will compete for your attention. The gas grill on the deck keeps dinner prep simple. Grab a spot on one of the main floor’s couches to stream your favorite shows. End the night in the hot tub with a soak under the stars before heading to bed to rest for another perfect Big Sky day tomorrow.

4WD/traction may be required in winter.

The property is ski-in/ski-out; however, if conditions do not support the typically skiable areas from the house, you may have to walk to Village or nearest lifts. Please check trail maps and snow reports for current conditions and trail openings.

You must be 18 years or older to rent this property.

Guest access
Guests will be given an access code prior to the start of their rental.

Other things to note
Please understand that the cleaning and linen pricing provided is for the house plus the linens for the number of people that you disclose will be staying at the house. If the number is going to be more (or less), it’s your responsibility to update and account for those additional guests and adjust the number accordingly. In order to support a house with the new bonus room having 11 beds (which sleeps up to 18), we have to account for the time it takes to clean and reset the home for the each group of guests. So if you state you have 12 people (we might assume 2 guests per room), you’ll be provided linens for 12 guests. If you use more than the stated linens, for example the 2 children in the bunk room decide to try all 11 beds over the course of their visit, you’ll need to pay for the additional cleaning fees for cleaning and resetting those 9 additional beds. Accordingly if you say you’ll have 12, but bring 20, there will only be linens for 12 provided. Big Sky is an amazing place, but during the winter ski season, we have limited resources and we want to be fair to our housekeepers and the next group of guests. As such we hope our guests will be understanding that to be able to support a larger home in this special place, the bunk room will only have towels based on the number of guests using the bunk room. We are a family who loves Big Sky (and our house), but are self-managing our home (with the help of local support) and appreciate your understanding so we can provide a unique and yet still luxurious rental option in a place we love.
