Our 5-star hotel is located in the middle of the beautiful Allgäu at an altitude of almost 1,000 metres. It is a typical farmhouse of the region from the 17th century. It was completely renovated 20 years ago and since then has been an oasis for nature lovers, sports enthusiasts and those seeking relaxation. In the past, the life of the farmers was characterised by hard work, abstinence and the arbitrariness of the forces of nature. Today, people still live here in and with nature - but unlike back then, today exclusivity & tradition, nature & vastness combine to provide relaxation and stimulation in equal measure. Away from the hustle and bustle and stress, nature lovers will find their own personal space here.

The house, with 280 square metres of living space, is the best starting point for relaxation artists, history buffs, hikers, bathers and mountain bikers. Hiking trails in summer and cross-country ski trails in winter cross right behind the house. Also ideal for mountain bikers and snowshoe hikers. Something special at any time of year. Our house is located in Freitags in the municipality of Buchenberg, approx. 15 km from the Allgäu metropolis of Kempten. Our house shares the surrounding countryside and the unforgettable view deep into the Allgäu mountains with only one other farm. A real stroke of luck, because there you can enjoy delicious Allgäu snacks, coffee and cake. Just walk across the cow meadow and you're there. And don't worry: the Allgäu cows are used to 2-legged friends!

One of the most beautiful bathing lakes in the Allgäu - the "Eschacher Weiher" - is just a 20-minute walk from the house. Here you can jump into the clean, cool water with or without swimming trunks. Water nymphs and sun worshippers get their money's worth here.
And if you prefer alpine skiing to cross-country skiing in winter, you can enjoy relaxed downhill runs nearby in Eschach. Those who prefer more challenging slopes can reach Austria, Oberstdorf and many other ski resorts in around 30 minutes.

A car is required. In winter, winter tyres or even chains are mandatory - four-wheel drive is an advantage. Access to the house is cleared on arrival in winter, after which snow shovels are available for guests.

Location description : Freitags is situated at an altitude of almost 1000 metres, not far from the village of Buchenberg. Our house is situated in an unspoilt location next to another farm which, in addition to rearing calves, also runs a snack bar - where you can enjoy delicious Allgäu snacks, coffee and cake.
