Please don't try to book right away. First, message the host to inquire about availability (3 night minimum, 25 night maximum). We typically book full about 2 months in advance. Let us know your purpose of staying, number of people/pets, and desired dates. We will respond with availability and acceptance with instructions on payment and will block off our calendar for you. The calendar on this site is not maintained.
We strive to provide a clean, safe private apartment with the best views in the area, at a REASONABLE price of $110 per night in the off-season and $120 per night from May through labor day when booking with us directly through Houfy. If you haven't stayed with us before, we will need your link to your profile on another booking site to review and decide. If you are a repeat guest, this is the best place to book with us to get the best prices.
The space
**The Space**
At ~1,300 sq ft, the apartment has everything 1 or 2 people need for a comfortable stay: a living room, dining area, and full kitchen, plus a spacious bedroom with a king bed and a dedicated office with a twin daybed. The full bath features a flagstone-and-tile shower and double granite vanity, with a half bath and full-size washer/dryer rounding things out.
**Outside**
Three distinct outdoor spaces give you plenty of room to relax. Step straight out to your covered patio, partially sheltered from the rain. A second patio closer to the water has a firepit — perfect for evenings under the stars. And for the adventurous, a long staircase leads down to a private over-the-beach deck and the shores of Puget Sound (note: the beach is not walkable at high tide).
**The Setting**
This is high-bank waterfront — a dramatic cliff perch that makes for those jaw-dropping views. The property sits in a beautiful rural area ideal for guests who love nature. Seal sightings common.
Note that a military base is 17 miles away. Infrequently, we and the entire surrounding counties and cities, can hear muffled artillery practice.
Guest access
**Your Privacy**
The indoor space is entirely yours — no shared areas inside. We live upstairs with our own separate entrance on the opposite side of the house, so you’ll rarely see us. Once you step off the driveway and into your fenced yard, it feels like having the whole place to yourself.

**Shared Spaces**
→ The yard — we only enter it to mow during stays of a week or more, or for an occasional trip to the beach stairs
→ The over-the-beach deck and landing at the bottom of the stairs
→ The driveway — which has a security camera. We’ve lived here 15 years and never had any issues with crime, but the driveway camera gives us extra peace of mind. We also have a camera at the host's front door and our car shop door. None of the cameras are near the guest apartment or yard. The cameras are all on the opposite side (host/driveway side)of the house.
**Host-Only Areas**
The upper floor, upper deck, garage, carport, and shop are for our use only.
**Accessibility**
The property and apartment are not mobility-accessible.
Other things to note:
Septic Care (Crucial):
We live near the ocean and use a specialized septic system. Please only flush body waste and toilet paper. Do not put food or grease down the sinks. Following these guidelines is extremely important for our local environment.
We have two friendly dogs on-site; however, they are kept entirely separate from the apartment and your pet's yard.
