Welcome to our charming holiday home in the middle of Småland, in the idyllic little town of Fågelfors! The cosy and detailed Swedish house is centrally located in the village, between a small supermarket and the church and is only a 10-minute walk from the Övresjön bathing lake.
The detached holiday home offers plenty of space to relax on approx. 120 m² and two floors. Two entrances - the front one with a small veranda with seating, the rear one with access to the terrace - provide flexible access options. The spacious terrace is equipped with wooden furniture, comfortable cushions and a barbecue, perfect for relaxed outdoor barbecues.
The bright eat-in kitchen is a dream for amateur chefs. The excellently equipped kitchen has a 4-ring ceramic hob with oven and a dishwasher. There is also a filter coffee machine, a Nespresso machine, a milk frother, a toaster, a contact grill, a microwave and a Bosch food processor including all baking and cooking utensils. In the large kitchen there is a table with chairs and a bench - up to 7 people can be seated here. A high chair for children can be provided free of charge on request.
On the ground floor you will also find a spacious, approx. 40 m² living/dining room with a large sofa that can be folded out into a 1.40 m wide bed. Two armchairs with a footstool, a small table and another dining area make the room perfect for relaxing evenings or cosy meals.
A further couch in the basement can be used as an additional sleeping area for one person if required.
A curved staircase in the hallway takes you to the upper floor, where two cosy bedrooms await you: one with a double bed, the other with two single beds and a rocking chair and we are happy to provide you with a travel cot if required. Both rooms offer plenty of storage space thanks to built-in wardrobes. The bathroom on the upper floor is equipped with a WC and shower. A door from the upstairs hallway leads to a small balcony above the veranda, from where you can enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine.
The garden is generously laid out and offers 1200 m² of space for relaxation. Fruit trees provide pleasant shade in summer and sun loungers are available to enjoy the sun.
In 2019, we fulfilled our dream of owning our own holiday home and renovated this house with a lot of love. We took over some of the furnishings, but bought some of the furniture and all the beds and mattresses new and some second-hand - our contribution to sustainability. We want our guests to feel as comfortable here as we do. If something should break, please let us know and we will find a solution.
In the kitchen you will find spices, vinegar, oil, sugar, salt and other foodstuffs that you are welcome to use. If you run out of something, we will be happy to provide you with a small replenishment.
Fågelfors offers three beautiful lakes: Klobosjön, just 100 metres away, is ideal for fishing, while the Övresjön bathing lake with a non-swimmers' area, sandy beach, barbecue area, changing rooms and toilets is just a few minutes' drive or a ten-minute walk away. The third lake is perfect for canoeing and the nearby river Emån also offers great canoeing opportunities.
