Senj is located between the high, mythical mountain Velebit and the sea, and because of its location, it is extremely interesting as a tourist center. It is located on the sea, it is known for its ten beautiful, natural pebble beaches (Draga, Điga, Spasovac, Ujča, Voda, etc.), wonderful small coastal towns that seem to have remained in some past times (Lukovo, Klada, Starigrad), a wonderful natural monument, the submerged Zavratnica fjord.
Senj is also the starting point for trips to two, very close to Senj, the beautiful mountain national park Plitvice Lakes and the Northern Velebit National Park, whose wild mountain peaks offer incredible views that take your breath away!
Velebit is a mountain whose value and beauty was recognized by UNESCO and included in the world heritage. The Velebit Botanical Garden, the famous Premužić Trail, the Bear Sanctuary are "must see" places that will be remembered forever!
The source of the Gacka river with its mills and gastronomic offer is also nearby.
