The salt water marshes that surround Jekyll Island provide good kayaking conditions. With opportunities to see birds and perhaps a dolphin or even a manatee. Several organizations on the island provide tours that include all your equipment and a guide that knows the area. On most days the waters are calm making it good conditions for both beginners and experienced kayak enthusiasts. Jekyll Sandpiper renters have two choices on the island: Tidelands Nature Center and Turtle Tides as tour options.
